Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

100%. Can’t believe we didn’t raise the roof today. Only time was after Haalands miss. Second half wasn’t good but it also wasn’t from a lack of effort today. When things are this bad you need a little luck and a lot of help from the fans.
I take it you were singing then...I know I was and quite a few were trying but hard to get an atmosphere going when the game is so slow paced.

Yeah 14 goals in 4 years, 3.5 goal per season incredible
If that’s as deep as your analysis of Jack’s contribution goes then there’s little point engaging with you.

Headline stats re goals/assists obviously don’t reveal the much deeper and more complex layers of a player’s effectiveness on the pitch. They’re merely a useful tool for ill informed media morons to pass their prejudices and biases on to daft fans who don’t understand what they’re watching and can’t think for themselves

Lmfao mate what is his job as a winger then? Defending? Fuck me ur thick

False 9. It won us a league. At the moment haaland is a waste of a shirt
How much of that is down to him and down to his service i think is debatable (the service is appalling/ his effort is appalling)
He’s played every minute, he needs to be sat out for a week, give him a break and give opposition something unexpected to think about

Gladly didn't see the game (no Amazon) but a result I expected. It just goes to prove that we relied totally on Rodri and can't play without him. A number of players now getting too old at the same time and no foresight used in effective recruitment. Good at selling, not so at buying. Little hope of Europe next season, probably mid-table at best. Well, it was good while it lasted. The best I've seen in blue for over 70 years, until this season that is!

When you see a 36 year old RB in Seamus Coleman the last thing you expect is to see Doku playing inside. Genuinely unbelievable.
The irony is that in the pre-match warm up Doku was practising crosses from the left wing into Haaland, then, once the game starts Doku moved inside and barely saw the wing and made zero crosses. Bizarre tactics.
