Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Have some senior players checked out? Yes.
Do pep and the rest of the squad need our support? Yes.
This is awful ATM but I'm genuinely not concerned. It's a shit storm of circumstance but we will come out of the other end stronger and more determined.
Honestly, I was expecting this last year. Just hoping the players back pep like he's backed them over the years.
Don't worry blues, we have seen much worse than this and come through the other end and at least the youngsters will have some level of empathy with us legacy fans.
You gotta laugh...

You weren’t expecting to only win 1 game in 13.

The total lack of effort,is what appalling angers me..injury time and Everton on the break at least four Everton forwards sprinting ,didn’t,t see a City player sprint all match. Our two wingers useless, they beat the same player, then have to do it again, because they are stupid,Now Haarland,a waste of space, first touch is shit, every ball into the box and he stays on the far post.his lack of movement pathetic, thank god for the two A A s in defence or we were hammered.

I haven’t watched a single game where I thought lack of effort was the cause, at least not as a collective. Lack of confidence, lack of stamina in some and stupid decision making I’ve seen plenty of.

Absolutely not to these levels but I'm not panicking. It's just highlighted frailties the club needs to address collectively. I think pep might get trumped in January by signing players for example. I'm not concerned due to our owners...

I thought we were better today, mainly in the first half. Second half we faded again. Still miles off it, but signs of improvement. It's probably going to be like this for the rest of the season.
That was my perspective, but we are, as sadly seems to be the case every game, worryingly vulnerable to counter attack even against a team as evidently limited as Everton. Bottom line IF Erling scores the penalty and Bernardo strikes the ball properly we win, probably easily. Sadly IF is this season's in word. I didn't really see a lack of effort but I did see a lack of confidence and composure, poor decision making and multiple errors. It's difficult I know but getting on their case, whilst totally understandable, isn't going to help. Just hoping we get our real team back soon, this drop off is remarkable.
Thanks to Wolves for giving me an early evening smile!

Can the Sheik play fullback?

I’m not happy with a lot to be honest.

Will it help the players,it depends if they care or not.
They do care, you can clearly see they care as they are trying. They have not downed tools. Just look at players like Gvardiol. There was an occasion in the 1st half where he got sold a dummy and Everton got in behind us. He was disgusted with himself . They do care and they are trying. We are just not good enough at the moment.
