standard game against everton, dont hear anything from them until after they score and a few times during the 2nd half.

they play hoof ball up the pitch and do everything to not play the game, we have a few bright parts of the game, but after that its the same laboured pass side to side.

was crying for someone to just shoot outside the box.

Knew Erling was going to miss the penalty, just the way it goes.

we went 1-0 up and then stopped playing and for about 20 minuts of first half passed in triangles just inside our half everton must of thought what F!!K
then scored first shot, second half walking football piss weak press tackles zero effort. they bring on subs late and break against 2 defenders shocking cant see end to it

Look at Villa. Every bit as shambolic as us today and in recent weeks. And we're above them. People on here were calling for Emery to take over a few weeks back. Football is 99% times about ups and downs and occasionally it clicks and you win something. All this entitled 'we're a mega team now' bollox is what we laugh at the rags about. Yeh lets change the manager and make 12 changes to the squad - that's worked out well for other teams. Lot's on here either need to do one, grow up or get a back bone. We weren't that bad today. We missed a pen that would have won us the game. How is that Peps fault, or Rico's fault etc. Our fanbase is becoming an embarrassment. I for one am now looking at this as an exciting opportunity to have the best manager ever re build a brand new side over the next two years. But I suppose I'm a happy fucking clapper - or whatever the term some pricks on here use - for saying that

Maybe the players are reluctant to play even a calculated ‘risky’ forward pass for fear of losing possession and the opposition having a breakaway which puts any kind of pressure on our leaky defence.

Fair comment but we'll get nowhere until they change.

This exactly. Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge can see this surely? There's no fix for that. It'll suddenly click with a last minute winner, or a run of 2 scrappy wins and we're up an running. Football is 20% ability and 80% in the mind. It'll change soon and loads on here will vanish again

I actually thought we weren’t too bad today. Limited Everton to one chance (yes we conceded from it) and if Haaland converted his penalty and Gvadiol’s header had gone in, not to mention Bernie’s chance, we could/should have won.

I do think we’re missing the energy of Alvarez. He didn’t score a ton last season, but his constant “buzz” was important for us

Stop talking rubbish. The goal we conceded today was because Akanji went to play a ball and missed. That’s not because of injury. I’m guessing you haven’t been to a game at the Etihad this season because if you did you wouldn’t be making excuses. Ake isn’t fit but our best player today. No excuse for doing the basics. The Haaland problem is staring us in the face , he’s great when we are at 95-100% , but a liability when a team is struggling in a team in how we play at the moment , how we are at the MOMENT, he did absolutely fuck all yet again - can’t even put penalties away now.Peak Sergio pisses all over him , Sergio hunted opportunities.
