Everton (H) Post-Match Thread

Hope the booing was as loud on TV/radio as it was in the ground. Some of the shittest officiating I've seen. Offside against City so we are forced to stop our attack, then VAR is reviewing a pen for City that happened after the offside has already been given? So the attack was stopped incorrectly but then the pen was not given. Fucking joke but we all know why it's being used.

Bravo trying to be Ederson. And failing miserably. Otherwise a really good performance That looked like the City that I know. Our second is a thing of beauty. Special mention for Ben Mendy. A fine game, mostly from him. Several really good crosses in. Onwards...
His use of the ball for the most part was great. Looked like a footballer today. Great to see.

Think the new formation brings the best out of us and lends to so much interchanging fluidity in the team.

Completely nullified Everton, and didn't compromise our attack at all.

Interested to see where Garcia fits in the squad once all our centre halves are fit. Looks like he's been playing premier league football for years.

I liked the balance of the team and the set up but i thought it did compromise our own attacking potential at times....could be different however with different personnel (Bernardo, Kun Laporte for example)

Jesus was brilliant tonight and Garcia looks a class act. Sloppy pass by Bravo which let Everton back in it, but a good dominant performance by City and a deserved win.

Another three points after almost no recovery time and another shit ref and bollocks var decision which this time fortunately didn't cost us points.

Why is Bravo so shit yet played so many games for Barca? Has to be Carson for the FA Cup game.

Good win though, Jesus superb finishing. Garcia looking promising so far.

Good win that’s why oh why has it took till jan to use Garcia in the premier league . The kid looks a natural and should be starting regular now . I like cancelo and I think he will dislodge walker prob next season I just hope he gives it time . Rodri is getting better with every game . To me foden is not ready to jump straight into David Silvas shoes but that’s only a matter of time in the future . Jesus scored some crackers today and I hope I’m prooven wrong about him . Can’t take to mendy as he has mistakes all over him as does bravo who nearly cost us today . Kdb best player in Europe bar none .

Played very well and looked like strolling it but Bravo does a Bravo(please leave ASAP ta very much) everyone played well and wing backs seem to suit cancelo and Mendy who had a good game finally. Could easily have been 4 nil. Defence looked miles better. With raz and b silva to come in and Laporte coming back I’m more confident of winning something this year if we stick with the formation. Has improved gundogan and Rodri no end.

Totally agree with this. Really good all round performance, particularly second half. Only one weak link, and I’d play Carson Saturday (or Ederson) as that’s totally unacceptable from a “professional” footballer.

And that tackle from Calvert-Lewin at the end is the sort of thing PGMOL would use to demonstrate red card fouls. Outrageous decision from Blind Pugh and Blind VAR.

what decisions did it give that were wrong..

goal correctly ruled out
Mahrez incident wasnt a penalty

Yellow/redcard is always up for debate...I think it should have been a red but nether the onfield ref or Var thought so...there is always debate on whether some challenges are yellow or red and ome (like this one) were borderline....Like i said i thought it was a red with the replay
Compare the desicions we get to others, that is your answer,a scissor tackle is a red,you can't do anything more dangerous than that

We played excellent all match for me Bravo giving am helping hand to Everton! Referee though a fcuking disgrace of a performance don’t care if we keep the ball for ten minutes Var should of gave us a penalty on Foden! That’s the difference between city and the rags rashford would got a penalty for that I have no doubt! The referees are cheating bias scum bags but seeing its city not a history club it’s fine referee will get a slap on the back for a good game!! Wankers

Interesting opinion, what part of the attack did you think it compromised?

Not one video shown for foden pen

Tells you all you need to know.... BT were 100 per cent in Everton’s corner tonight... as they seem to be whomever we play. They’ll be dusting off their Real Madrid scarves very soon.

Yes it was at half time. Dickhead commentators thought it was for the team. Fucking morons

Happy New Year everyone!!

I’m late to the party, family do & all that.
Didn’t see anything of the game, but we won.

I’ll catch highlights later.

...can anyone shed any light on the match in a nutshell?
