Everton (H) - Post-Match Thread

I heard that he was at the Rags academy along with his older brother but when the rags binned off the brother their dad withdrew James and he went to City.

Fucking karma for the way the Govan Bully took rag loanees back to the swamp when his son was sacked .

Fucking mardarsed old twat.

Interesting from Neville today when the commentator started talking about pep and his time left at City,he started talking about City the EDS and womens team with the infrastructure and foundations in place, talked about big club projects Barca and Bayern which pep had done and none for pep to go too now and he his everything at City, got me thinking does he know something we don’t regarding pep’s future..

I heard all that and his description of City as a "Culture of Success". Maybe he just lost himself for a minute and spoke about his nightmares ....becoming reality...

Okay tin hat well and truly on. Personally I think Palmer is a good player nothing more. Nowhere near the standards of Foden. Thought he wasn’t great today but played in a different position. You need all kinds of different type of players in a team. Some stand out more, some are just as effective but do not stand out as much. Again purely personal, but I like exciting players that get bums off seats. I used to love the clatter of seats when Leroy got the ball as everyone got up to see him dancing past defenders. Whilst we have some great players, Mcatee is a young and exciting type of player. Just lit the game up when he came on. Such an exciting talent and we would be crazy not to get this guy on the bench and tied to a new contract. I would much prefer to see Mcatee trying his ‘fancy stuff‘ and being entertained than a slow pedestrian buildup. We are a very good side and a different type of side than previous seasons, but no where near as exciting as previous sides. That first half was a tough watch opposition aside. Mcatee did more to worry the Everton defence in a five minutes cameo, than Mahrez in all his minutes on the pitch. This lad should be in the bench now every game, and long live his ‘fancy stuff‘. As the Jam said ‘It’s Entertainment’.
Don’t think bringing on a fresh young player against a tiring defence is a true picture of how good any player is.

Palmer played nearly the whole game and did OK, Pep rates him very highly.

Never forget his indignation over the Tevez poster, but the silly old twat was not bothered about the Stretford End ticker sign mocking our lack of success. Long may he stink out the swamp.

Proper that.

Rodri colossal. Cancelo’s assist beyond delicious.

Palmer showing equal parts graft and quality.

Never felt more like singing the blues.
Rodri has been immense since he joined us - monumental passing ability and I've been saying that since day 1. It's taken some blues a hell of a long time to appreciate him - moaning that he's got no pace. Now one of the best in the world in that position and getting better. And that goal - an exocet missile.
