Fernando and Delph worked excellently as a pair against Norwich. I wouldn't change that now that Dinho isn't available. If Yaya comes back in he should come in at the expense of one of the forwards not those two. Of course, he won't and yaya will again be back in as half of a middle 2 that have rings run around us.

I think they'll come and play more defensively than usual and hit us on the break. The won't want to lose as it will damage their confidence for the return leg of the semi.

Everton will stand firm, try and be nittty gritty throughout the game but with modest, fair refereeing and vocal support from our faithful we will tear them a justifiable one. 4-0 for Man City.

Martinez has stated they are now our equals , and yet i would only swap Stones for Mangala in our first eleven , admittedly Lukaku and Barkley would warm our bench , but Martinez is getting a bit carried away , if we had got the fully deserved penalty in the 1st leg , we would be going through to the League Cup Final with plenty to spare. Why do opposition players/managers make these comments ? Skirtel said he wished he could play us every week , Clyne said it should have been ten , couple of Spuds and Goons players have said similar shit , do they realise they have to play us again this season ? The only motivation our players should need are these comments pinned up on the back of the dressing room door, and then light the blue touch paper.

Not just Martinez, every decent manager feels they have a chance. Klopp said he was well prepared for us before the game. Hughes said he was relishing this contest. Arsene was very very confident of beating us. Pellegrini has been found out and unless he adapts, there is not going to be a turn in fortunes.

Was Dinho injured in training ?

I think he has a corky he got against Everton and like SIlva and Yaya they wanted to rest him last Saturday but he hasn't come up.

MP terms them all as muscle injuries if its not a hamstring (LOL).

It's minor according to MP but that's what he said about Bony and he still is unavailable.

Hopefully Ferny , Mangala and Bony will be available within a week to cover for the inevitable injuries we will get in the next two games.

You would like to think Ferny would be available for Palace or worst case scenario the return leg next week but we shall see.

Because we bottle it against semi competent teams time and again this season

We are third in the league, could go top by the end of the night, still in every competition, i should be confident for a home city win. But im just not and its really frustrating. If we get a convincing win tonight we could go a nice little run, but a draw or less could deflate us.

So to sum up, must win, not confident.
