I reckon if we beat Liverpool and Everton over the next month I will feel comfortable predicting us to win the league. If we struggle like we have done against most top 7 sides over the last few years, I'll be less certain.

Sigurdsson will surely only be ready for the bench at best surely?

Think we have to get Sterling in this game somehow. The kid has looked very good in every game he's been apart of this preseason/season. Imo we have to let him go at it for a full game and see what he can create. I'd be inclined to go for a 4-3-3 this game even though I know it's unlikely. Aguero in the middle along with Sterling and Sane on the wings and KDB, Silva, and Yaya in midfield. A backline of Walker, Kompany, Stones, Mendy (If he's not 100% fit then Danilo) and Ederson in goal.
Is Jesus injured ?

Does anyone know when Mendy will be back?

Thought Danilo looked good against Brighton but could tell he had no left foot.
This ! - the home crowd will soon get on Danilo's back after he has slowed up our left sided attack by switching play on to his right foot then a pass into the middle.
I did not think he looked 'great' against Brighton - just decent.

I think we'll revert to 4-3-3 for this with Sterling and Sane on the wings. Really hard to predict a Guardiola system and lineup so I'm probably wrong!

Think he may possibly play sane in that position at home until Mendy is back. Looked good in pre season in defensive mid so might be a better option playing him there.

They are playing an Europa League qualifier tonight at home vs Hajduk Split from Croatia.

This is an advantage for us. It won't be an easy game but I think we'll win, Everton lack pace which is what is most dangerous to us.

Hoping to see Mendy at least get some minutes from the bench.

We should really be going 433 at home and 352 away/vs top 6. Everton won't completely park the bus so Sterling and Sane will cause them problems.

Going to be a close game.Everton will defend and fight for everything like they always do. Can see this being a draw.

I can't see us going 3-5-2 all season. Sane is one of the best young attacking players in the world, but he's a liability at LWB. We need to have him playing in forward areas. Hopefully it starts on Monday.

Kind of hope we dont score now after seeing this
