That system with Bernie and Lewis supporting Kova and then creating space down the wings for Doku and Savinho against Chelsea was probably the best Rodriless system we've played. Here's hoping.

That's a sound theory but didn't work well in practice when we tried it against Feyenoord!

That's an extreme example of bringing on 3 subs at once, with no experience of working together. Blooding youngsters and making more use of squad players could help avoid players playing through injury, playing through exhaustion & getting reinjured after being rushed back (eg Akanji vs Forest & Stones vs Villa).
