This is probably worth a try. Everton are most likely going to sit back and wait for breakaways and Haaland will simply have no space to work in. It's difficult to know who is and isn't fit but something like

Ortega
Akanji Ake Gvardiol
Kovacic Grealish
Silva DeBruyne Foden Nunes Doku

That’s exactly how they will play and they almost did it to perfection yesterday, missing a couple of great chances and Chelsea weren’t poor. 7 clean sheets since October. They can defend. We will need to play well to break them down.

Gvardiol has been making mistakes at the back but he is our best goal threat so I would give him a go in Gundogan's position.

Walker, Gundogan and Bernardo not playing is a must and Pep won't play the kids so I think this is the best team with those three excluded.

If I see JSP, Wright, O Reilly and/or McAtee ill be happy to

1) See them simply get to play

2) Rest a senior player

So heres my hope:

Ortega

Wright
Akanji
JSP
Gvardiol

Kovacic
Foden

Savio
McAtee
Doku

O Reilly

Resting Haaland, and I think Everton will have no space behind and crowd him anyways.

Let O Reilly be a striker and false 9 of sorts.

Invert both Wright and Gvardiol, back 3 isnt needed when Everton wont even bother to attack.

This will allow Foden to push up next to McAtee and O Reilly.

Small players can do just as well , more nimble and can nick the ball, bernie loves a tackle as did dave , size doesnt matter
 
This could end up like that game was it last season or the one before 1-1,with Everton wasting time from the first min,throw in the ref or linesman’s mic breaking down and taking an age to fix the team couldn’t get any momentum at all ..
