Don't Sunderland, Villa, Liverpool, Leicester, Newcastle, Southampton, Stoke all have billionaire owners (most richer than this Everton bloke)?

Interesting that he's only bought just under 50%. Normally anyone buying 30% or more has to make an offer for the rest of the shares. We don't know whose shares he's bought or what the arrangement is with the other shareholders. At Arsenal, Usmanov has just over 30% but he can't get Kroenke to sell and vice versa. I can't see that he'll pour a fortune into a club when he will only get half the benefit.

No they don't have to accept. If someone has 90% then they can force the minority shareholders to sell, as happened with ADUG and Thaksin.I've often wondered about that, if he has made that offer, whether are the others obliged to accept. I assume not ?

Thanks, probably a stupid question then, why over 30% do they have to make the offer ? I assume that if they couldn't afford to buy all the shares, they wouldn't buy over 30%, or they could effectively be forced to buy the rest, if the rest got together and called their bluff ?No they don't have to accept.
