I’m pretty clueless on the tactics malarkey so stand to be corrected but the main thing that I see (and frustrates the hell out of me) is that we hardly ever get a player running beyond the wide man behind the opposition defence. Whenever we play the ball wide everyone seems to move infield leaving Bernardo, Doku, Savinho, Jack etc isolated, facing two or three defenders and virtually forcing them to pass the ball inside. They must be operating under instruction but even with Zaba and Clichy it was always one of our main offensive strengths.

I agree. Similarly, Haaland should come out of the box and drop deep every now and then, and let someone else lead the line and cause a fresh nuisance to the opposition defence. He may as well stand around in the middle of the pitch waiting for a pass as much as waiting in the box for a pass or cross that never comes. We've been mixing it up far too little during this bad run.
Voted Ake - the best by a long way. Savinho was decent but still no end product and until that changes he won't get my vote.
