Went for foden… said in matchday thread he was like David today pre assisting, big shout out to haaland although let’s be honest he should of had a hatrick
I would have gone for Erling had he put those two one-on-ones away in added time, but I went for Phil who did a lot of tidying up today.

I went for Foden, he is starting to look like his old self, and the ball he played to Haaland for one of his three one on one misses was sublime.

Alfie's lad was great and the 2 goals he buried were fantastic which meant we could see out the game, which after the International break was I'm sure welcomed.

Big shout out to the ever improving Gonzalez ,no need to worry now when rhodri carnt make it ,well done lad keep it up .

Got to go with the only guy who puts the ball in the net.

Thought the two Nicos did well. Nunes maybe had his best game at FB. As the scoring suggests, Phil was the other of our best performers; although Donna did what he needed to.

Starting to feel a need for a 3 at the back feel that allows O'Reilly to either commit further forward at LWB or play more centrally. Also feel Nunes would be better used as a wing back.

Stones in the 3 with Dias and Gvad with Stones pushing into mid in attack.

Nunes and O'Reilly at the wing backs with Nico G in the middle, Foden and Reignman ahead Cherki at the 10 Erl up top.

IDK. Just fucking chuffed we're improving, have players coming back and dont look like we did last season.

Well played City....I think the time to judge whether some of our players are up to scratch, is just before a transfer window opens, as they have then been given a half season to prove themselves, (barring injuries).

One thing that is a feature this season is that the same small group of players are playing at a very high level: Haaland, Foden, O'Reilly, Doku and Donnarumma. This gives me a lot of hope because I think there is more to come from a lot of City players. In this game, Doku didn't play great but I expected he might dip after being overplayed by Belgium. Savinho did some good things in the game vs Everton that showed that he can become a good player for us. I also thought Bobb's control of the ball was outstanding when he came on. He's like Grealish but better.

Disagree about Savinho until he moved to the left, I was screaming for Bobb to replace him full stop. Perhaps Savinho could just rotate with Doku when one needs a rest or to shake things up and give Bobb/Silva/Cherki the right side. That would allow O'Reilly or Ait Nouri the option to either go down the outside or cut in to the box depending on who they're paired with. Mix it up a bit.

O’Reilly always calm and steady, great ball carrier too. But for me but the fact that there are a few to choose from is a great sign. The magic is coming back.
