Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Thought we started pretty well, trying to play it forward earlier and getting the ball over the top or out to the wingers quicker. The opener was well deserved

But their equalizer just killed us. Any confidence Pep had managed to build up over the last few days just dissipated and then we were back to the same slow, shapeless play with no one taking responsibility and anxious mistakes all over the field

I am so sick of hearing that transfers will sort it, and that eventually we'll get the breaks.

The only thing that sorts this is a change of leadership. We are possibly the weakest team in that league currently. No ifs, no buts, absolute fact.

If Guardiola stays, nothing changes, and make no mistake about it we could easily be relegated.
After all we've achieved under Pep he deserves the right to try and rebuild us. Have you ever considered supporting another team?

One of the key things we miss with Rodri being out is speed of passing in midfield. It was on show today, particularly in the second half, as far too many of the players (Kovacic, Lewis, Bernardo) take extra touches to pass and rarely attempt crossfire passes to the wing. Makes it so much easier for the defence and harder for our wingers.

Only went stale after the pen miss. The team is on its knees with injury and lack of match fitness and we’re everyone’s fa cup final.

You need to adjust your expectations nearer to reality
I think people have adjusted their expectations, the problem is you mention injuries and players being knackered but the manager refuses to play Oreilly, Wright or McAtee to freshen up the team.

Whether they are good is irrelevant now and the performances and results are terrible so it can't get any worse.
