I remember being at Anfield in 1981 at Xmas (Boxing Day??) and we beat them 3-1.
Kevin Reeves got a Fergie time penalty, as we celebrated, Joe Corrigan was flat on the ground in front of the Kop with a bottle lying next to him.
The media verdict?
No way would a bottle have been thrown from The Kop, that bastion of fair play and great knowledge of football.

Joe should have been sent off for taking a bottle out of his kit bag and smashing it against his own head......

Vividly remember this being shown on Match Of The Day and not only did they show and condone the incident, but it showed pictures of the Kop outing the twat who threw the bottle at Big Joe.

Wonder if kennys meeting with the board over refereeing decisions thus putting a slight bit of pressure on the officials has worked, as much as I disliked some of everyone tactics last week I utterly dislike liverpools hard done too attitude, the referee yesterday in the mersyside derby is a man that is very easily influenced by so called big four material.

Rodwell's sending off was harsh, but it was karma: Everton employ the same thuggish tactics week in week out, so it was only a matter of time before it all caught up with them.

I thought Stoke and Bolton were dirty teams, but the blue dippers have taken it to a new level.
