Everton - the thread to end it all - game over

Well, aren't we all high & mighty now? The day that a large proportion of our own fans stop singing about an air crash in which 23 people (one of them a former City player) died is the day we can start slagging off the scummy fans of other clubs. Until then, it's a bit disingenuous to say the least.

As for the Everton fans on here... ignoring them is the best thing to do. If they become a pain in the arse we'll ban them. We really do have some over sensitive souls on here.
action speaks louder etc.........

So you know how many have been banned then?

I don't understand all this fuss with Everton, they came to our ground and did a job on us it is as simple as that. The ref was poor but Everton are a very well organised team and showed how to play away from home.

It was only one game though and there is alot still to play for, we have to give them credit for the other night but keep in mind our future looks alot brighter than their's and I know which club i'd rather be supporting.

So come on now peace to all blues scouse or manc.

This. Now, lets put down our AK's, and lay down our UZI's. The match is over, well down to Everton, and hard luck to us, but there is still everything to play for, nothing is done and dusted yet. The war between blues manc and scouse is also over. Too many brothers have been slain, in a battle they did not want, sparked by the leader David Moyes, and the former leader Mark Leslie Hughes, over one footballer who chose to move to the other side. Disappointment became anger, this anger grew, and created the conflict that has lasted for too long. But now it is over. Let us rebuild all that has been destroyed in this savage war. Peace my brothers.

Balls to that.

Seems as so we have lots of money now, we should get on that campaign to bomb Liverpool into the sea so that Manchester can have a beach.

;-)

Am I missing something here? Despite the defeat, qualification for the Champions League is still in our hands isn't it?

So why are we all so perturbed by what is a club of very little significance to anyone but their own deluded fans?

Not all supporters are the same folks, every club has a minority of idiots. Some of our fans still give it some sick shit about Hillsborough, which, i may add, i have seen posted on here too stating that some wish it was our fans and not Liverpools. Not for me that sorta thing. This sort of thing will never disappear from the terraces and will only get nastier as time goes by.

Sad really.

I can remember watching MOTD as a kid, and the commentator (probably Kenneth Wolstenholme) saying that Everton were the richest club in Britain, as they were bankrolled by the Moores family (Littlewoods empire).Yes, they had record signings like Alan Ball, fresh from winning the World Cup and Bob Latchford who was the goal machine striker of his time. When Sir John Moores died, the shares in the club were split between relatives who rushed to flog them off.

This is one of the reasons why they are so bitter nowadays.

Yes, I know my history.

But you dont know it all.
Sir John Moores (littlewoods) relatives deserted EFC and took their fathers money over to the redshite, Cecil Moores has since gone, but the other one is still there.

Chairmen: Tom Hicks Snr. and George Gillett Jr.
Directors: Foster Gillett, Christian Purslow, Casey Coffman, Ian Ayre, Philip Nash
Honorary Life President: David Moores
Honorary Vice Life Presidents: N White, TD Smith, KEB Clayton, JD Burns
Club secretary: Ian Silvester
Managing Director: Christian Purslow

You can't judge all fans on the noisy minority. You can't tar them all with the same brush. Unless they are rags in which case they are all feckless idiots!

To be honest, my memories of everton are that they were incredibly racist. I seem to remember some disgusting chants by them at Maine Road....

And to think it took them till 1995 to sign a black player????

Almost true!!! You are of course referring to the signing of Daniel Amokachi, who was signed in 1994 and part of the 1995 FA Cup winning side. Before that there was Clint Marshall, the only other black player prior to that time who played for Everton in the 70s.

Erm, not great. I would agree. I think we all have misdemeanours that carried on to the 90s though, did we not?

Mate, if it wasn't for the quite ridiculous behaviour of you manager before the Goodison game thern we really couldn't care less about you.

Howver, for reasons only known to Moyes, he took great umbrage at us paying well over the odds for your 2nd best centre half (your fans' words) and whipped you lot into a frenzy not seen since Hans Segers threw a few into his own net.

I use to quite ,like your club but you have shown yourselves to be, on the whole, bitter, jealous, hateful, unreasonable, mannerless gimps. It's war basically.

They are all too keen to sing 'If you know your history, it's enough to make your heart go warm.'

Well, considering those supposed claims, thought I would remind the Toffee tossers of a nasty home truth, which dispels their claims.

I was at Maine Road in 1990, the day we held a minutes silence for Joe Mercer passing away.

The minutes silence was disgracefully observed by a large sections of opposing fans in the Platt Lane, who decided to chant throughout it, causing a lot of trouble afterwards.

Those fans, yep, you guessed it - THE SO-CALLED PEOPLES CLUB EVERTON.

Oh, and the irony was clearly lost on you thick *****, the fact Joe had only played for two clubs and won a Champions League medal for, yep, you guessed it - THE SO-CALLED PEOPLES CLUB EVERTON.

So the next time they want to come on here giving it the moral high ground, issue this little reminder.

Oh, and for those still lurking, have hated you scumbags since that very day, so here's a little refresher on Joe....

Joe Mercer, a left-half, first played for Ellesmere Port. He was a powerful tackler and good at anticipating an opponent's moves. He joined Everton in September 1932 at the age of 18 and claimed a regular first team place in the 1935-36 season. Mercer made 186 appearances for Everton, scoring two goals and a winning a League Championship medal in the 1938-39 season. While playing for Everton he gained five England caps between 1938 and 1939.

Like many players of his generation, Mercer lost out on seven seasons of football due to the Second World War. He became a sergeant-major and played in 26 wartime internationals, many of them as captain. The Everton manager Theo Kelly accused Mercer of not trying in an international against Scotland, but in reality Mercer had sustained a severe cartilage injury. Even after consulting an orthopaedic specialist, the Everton management refused to believe him and Mercer had to pay for the surgery himself. During the war Mercer guested for Chester, making his debut in a 4–1 win over Halifax Town in September 1942 [2].

I absolutely cannot stand Everton. Horrid little club.

Blame your manager. You have made an enemy of us no mistake. Don't believe the wishy washy bollocks spoken by most on here. I hate Everton now almost as much as United. Roll on next season.

Dont listen to Tevezblue. He freely admitted in another post - unprompted - that he'd be very happy to see Baconface at City if it meant us winning the league.
.

I'd be very happy to see the Prince of Darkness at if it meant us winning the league. I'd draw the line at Moyes though.
