Just not good enough

Well done Burnley as they wanted it more and deserved the win. Great second goal as well

Some of our players are just not good enough and Carlo needs to weed them out

Just hope we can put a run together and get into the Europa league as 4th is well gone and I would be afraid of this team actually playing Champions league

I still love the toffees, just not happy with them at the moment

Gutted, but we still need to improve. Stick with Carlo.

Will i ever see us win a trophy again?

Steve Bruce Jeez, that is scary

Almost as bad as when we lost our heads and brought in that fraud Fat Sam

Haha I almost forgot you had BFS as manager. It’s incredible that there are still directors/chairmen who think BFS is the answer.
Best of luck for the rest of the season. We all hope you get into the top 4 if only for the fact it keeps the verminous ‘red men’ out of it!

Ancelotti has Everton well organised but they’re still missing key ingredients: natural width and someone who can take the ball and drive in the final third. Add those without losing the disciplined defensive shape, and they should improve again next season.

I thought Everton played well, especially in defence. You need more creativity in midfield to provide the bullets for your strikers. With the stadium move Everton are on the brink of a great era in my view. You could win a cup next season.

Yes I think you will, we thought exactly the same. The nucleus is there, the new stadium move is vital I think. It is tough though and as we found out the old top four are always scheming to stop other club's challenging them. We got in just in time, but the huge TV money is evening things out more.

If I was an Everton fan I would be pretty annoyed at the differing commitment levels in certain games. Last night and in the last round against Spurs they were really switched on. But in the home games against Fulham, Newcastle and Burnley they simply weren’t at the races. You can’t pick and choose the games to give your all in, and that is an attitude that they really need to get rid of if they are going to really kick on.

I'm not sure if there is already a thread for Everton on here, if so apologies and please merge.

I like Everton and I think they will be strong this season, they remind me of City so much!

If I had to have a second team, it would be the Toffies!
Cheers mate ...same here from a Toffee my brother in law is a city fan and I am chuffed to bits for him , City are a joy to watch and like you said in days gone by they remind myself of ourselves. Good luck and I hope you win the lot .

Decent bloke and seems to avoid the usual diatribe of excuses when we get beat. Class shone through in end and city always looked capable of stepping it up a gear.
I thought it was a close call until the last 10 mins and Everton could have pinched one had it been their day. I think the team is fairly solid and just needs 1 or 2 who make a difference . I would definitely stick with the manager. I hope you continue to progress.

Have no problems with Ancelotti at all- like others have said not that long ago we had BFS. We probably need a whole midfield but we are going in the right direction .

I agree with this. Didn't like some of the Everton tackling but thought their tactics nullified us to some extent. Also, trying to cross the ball quickly and using set pieces well caused us one or two problems. Plus they had some key players injured.
With those tactics you generally need a piece of magic given we weren't going to allow any soft goals but it never really came. I suppose the overhead kick could have gone anywhere and our one defensive lapse from the corner almost resulted in a goal

I agree that you should stick with Carlo.

And if he’s given the backing, I’m sure he will bring trophies back, especially if, as he wants, he is in charge, when you move into your new stadium.
