The Wimbledon game is the one that always gets mentioned but I was more nervous with the Coventry game in 98 when we only stayed up on goal difference. 18 months later Johnson sold the club to Kenwright and the rest is history
And now, just 25 short years later, you will be doing the same again. That's progress :)

I was at that game. I had to explain to my visiting Aussie relatives that no, pitch invasions were not a normal thing at Goodison Park.
In those days as there was no Internet, Everton had recorded 2 messages for their Clubcall service - one if we survived and one if we was relegated. Johnson had a police escort in the directors box. We've gone forward not one iota !

He's been brought in to escape relegation.

He may do.

IMO Everton would be better off relegated and fixing the club than staying up and limping along with someone like Dyche in charge.

It's just delaying the inevitable.

There’s a large and mean ginger cat who menaces my cat sometimes and he reminds me of a feline Dyche.

We’re going to keep having repeats of this relegation battle fun and games until Kenwright and Moshiri both fuck off. Almost makes me miss the days when we had little money.

They'll be after Vinnie if Dyche keeps them up
