I get the Sunderland point. Any time they're on the box, there's plenty of empty seats visible. Which is strange, given they're supposedly a huge club, in a one club town, with a large catchment area. But you don't see many empty seats at Goodison as a rule. Yes, it's a smaller ground than the SOL, but even so. There's lots of things we can have a go at Everton for (given events of the past few years). Their attendances isn't one of them.
I mean, I can't knock the fans, to be fair. They've had to put up with their team being shite for a number of years now, and the past two seasons actually desperately battling the drop. Yet they still turn up every game, home and away, giving them their support.

If fans of teams like Scunthorpe can show up every week, I don’t see why Everton fans can’t. We don’t only follow our team when we’re winning.

They fucking can’t!

I’m from Scunthorpe, and they’re a town full of United and Liverpool supporters who turn up to Glanford Park when they were on promotion runs from 2005-2015.

The core 3 or 4 thousand (at a push) are the ones who stick with them thick and thin, and when I head home I know which supporters I respect for their dedication to that club, and which are in it for the good times.

We got away with a point. Which isn’t great and we bottled a lead but it could have been worse.

Forest have been good at home for a few months now. You came away with the same result we did (well, a draw anyway), disappointing as you were ahead twice, but you didn't fall apart after a chastening night at the Emirates.
