I see Everton fans getting a bit tetchy about Haaland being compared to their beloved Dixie.......

2 competitions?

If he's going to have a moan at least get his facts right....Dean played in the League, FA Cup and Charity Shield.

If the latter isn't counting as a friendly then Alfie Jr's target is reduced by 2 more goals.

Different era so no point in comparing them. The game has changed so much in all that time. Just enjoy a goal machine. I am loving watching Haaland and I support Everton.

I hope I am wrong, but I think Brighton will do us tonight. I would imagine your reserves will do us as well. That leaves Wolves away and Brentford at home. I will keep hoping till the end but I just cannot see where the points will come from? I guess I just have to take it on the chin and hope we can get back in the league again.

Really need Southampton to do Forrest today as their last 3 games are tough. Leeds have a bad run in. Squeaky bum time!

But, it ain't over till the fat one belts out a song. The microphone is turned on and in hand though aaargh!

Away wins at Wolves and Brighton would see us winning as many away games in 2 weeks as we have in seasons. I've half accepted our fate now and seems the players have too. Wins against Wolves and Bournemouth could be enough but how many must win games have we not won now.

Relegation need not be a disaster for Everton if they bounce straight back up which is by no means a given.

Some of my best memories of pre-takeover City are the Machin, Royle and Keegan promotion seasons - far more memorable than the turgid dross under the likes of Pearce.

If Everton came back up as Championship winners it could revitalise the club.

How would they finance their new stadium if they were relegated? I can't see how they could do it (nothing to do with FFP) as they will still have to pay for the building process at the same time as having to slash all spending. Added to that is they're under investigation for spending so could incur fines, points deductions or both.

Under normal circumstances, I would agree with you, I just don't see how relegation works out well for Everton at the minute. Maybe they would have been better going down last season and getting it out of the way but they would have had the same issues with financing a new stadium hanging around their necks. It looks like it’s going to be a bit of a mess.

No disrespect to Everton fans but I hope Leicester and Forest get wins today so you have to go for it against ourselves rather than 11 behind the ball and pray for a point

Relegation and Eurovision. What did I do to deserve this ha ha
You really must have been a 'bad widdle boy' to have this prospect visited upon you..!

C'mon Toffees, by the sacred blond hair and left peg respectively of St Alex of the Golden Vision and St Kevin of Sheedy, I hope my 'other' team since being a kid gets out of this unholy mess..!

If you count the Charity Shield, Dixie Dean is on 65.
