Yeah i agree that ev may beat it this time. But what does that mean for next season? Another struggle.

No body wants to go down, and it can either galvanise a team and they piss the championship and come back stronger. Or it can spell longer term problems. If you dont come straight back up you are suddenly fighting with 15+ teams who are capable of promotion.

Tough really

I stayed till the end. City have a great team, some amazing players. You jammy gits! Great news Arsenal losing, go and get it.
Good luck for the remaining games. One of my grandads was an Evertonian who came to Manchester after he met my nana on holiday. Long time ago now but remember a few funny stories he told me about the Evertonians and Liverpool fans being separated to opposite sides of factories on a Monday after a derby and trying to destroy a photo of Liverpool by tearing a tiny piece off it everyday so he wouldn't be caught !

Hopefully this is the year this particular jobby gets flushed. Though they’ll have another Hans Segers moment no doubt.

Honestly, I'm only bothered about us getting the job done in the league and CL semi this week, and not really arsed who goes down... but as Everton haven't been relegated from the PL it would be interesting to see them go down...

IF you come straight back up, a year in the Championship can actually be a good thing. Seeing your team smash all comers after a few seasons of scraping by at the bottom of the Premier League. Getting rid of your overpaid, underperforming players. If you're a travelling fan, plenty of fun to be had at all the new away grounds, too.

Problem is, I have no faith that Everton would come straight back up, such is the level of mismanagement they're operating under

I seem to remember a team in the mid-60s who did that. Two years later, they won the first division title.
