I haven't seen a great deal of Everton, but from what I have seen I wouldn't say they are a bad team. Some of their defeats have been down to sheer bad luck as opposed to someone not doing their jobs properly. The defence occasionally goes missing in action, and I've always thought Pickford is suspect anyway, but overall I think they'll be okay - mainly because the others in the relegation zone are absolutely dreadful.
Theres no one worse. Theae are finishing rock bottom. Lock what Bournemouth did to them twice.

Very true, but I think Everton would bounce straight back, much like Newcastle, Villa and City at the time they're far better than they're showing at the moment whereas the other clubs you've mentioned were either in complete stagnation or were probably punching slightly above their weight being in the PL in the first place.
I would agree, I think a lot of it would come down to how much shit they are in with the finances.

I'd that true? I thought they were both City I think I bought training shoes off them from Oasis.
John preferred utd when I worked for them in about 92.
Dave is a big blue.
Used to play 5 a side with him on the AstroTurf down in Heywood.
Blues vs reds from work, it used to get quite tasty

Interesting....was in corporate before COVID and spotted Wardle. I remember Makin ringing up GMR when we lost at Stoke. We were in the car driving back. Alan Ball was sacked afterwards.

Watched Everton against Wolves on Boxing Day. Probably the two worst teams I've seen this season. Only thing that will keep Everton up is that they haven't changed managers yet.

City going down in 1983 by a tiny margin on the last day killed the club for ten years. It is just a myth that clubs can re-group. We struggled for decades afterwards.
I agree but I just couldn't put a "like" on it.

I remember some fans being interviewed for MotD in the Main Stand before the Luton match. Some said that going down could be a good thing for the club. What an absolute shit decade of football followed after that.

To be fair to Denise she made Everton rosettes as a kid and had a poster of Bob Latchford on her bedroom wall. Which in the eyes of Kenwright makes her fully qualified to be CEO of the club !
I think with Kenwright it's all about emotion. He'd give Dixie Dean's Grandaughter, Brian Labone's Niece and the second cousin of Andy King a place on the board if he could.

I have met Kenwright. He's a really nice person and an Everton fanatic. The last person who should be anywhere near running a football club, especially the one he loves.

I get the feeling Everton are in real danger this year as I'm not convinced there are three worse teams. At best, it's going to be close. Getting relegated can be a chance for a refresh, but it can also fuck you up for years. City are a prime example, but there are others, like Leeds, who stayed down a lot longer. In fact, there's a whole list of big-name teams in the Championship and lower.

He's a theatre producer, he has been there since 1989 now. One FA Cup win in that time, several managers and the only constant in that is Kenwright himself. I think he surrounds himself with people who will never challenge him. Which isn't healthy

As long as it's not kids or animals, and it's consensual, I don't care. Iwobi could be in a polyamorous marriage with Pickford and Begovic and I wouldn't care as long as he scored goals, which is something most of our players are incapable of doing at the moment, or in Yerry Mina's case, not getting injured.

I miss Richarlison.

At least when you lot fuck us tomorrow, Lampard might get sacked. My brother was at Wolves and he's full on board the Lampard Out train.

Sheffield Wednesday/Derby County

They'll get bummed 4 by Brighton because they'll not give a shit, won their trophy now.

Everton never cease to surprise me. Gray saved Lampard’s arse.

Aware you need the point(s) but fucking hell that was up there with some of the worst shithousery I’ve seen in a long time. 56 second half minutes of your players hitting the deck off the ball, feigning injury, wiping our players out and time wasting.

The amount you lot have spent / wasted over the last few years and that’s what you serve up? Mental.
