Everton v City post match

I hope those who were so erect at the disaster that was sacking Mancini are happy.

We got away with it for a few years as we hired a brilliant manager in pellers to replace him (probably by accident) but make no mistake sacking our greatest ever manager in order to make room for 'the reluctant one' was a mistake of truly enormous proportions.

It's not peps fault he is unable to manage in a competitive league - it's the fault of those above him not to recognise his severe tactical and coaching limitations.

I'll probably get yet another warning and/or thread ban for this post - you're not allowed to criticise Pep on rawk (sorry, bluemoon) but I don't blame him per se, I blame the Catalan crew who have systematically ruined the project.

I believe Pep is a decent man and an honest one. As such I will not be surprised if or when he does the decent thing and resigns to make way for a manager that can move the club forward. And yes, I believe that manager is and always will be roberto Mancini.

We need him back. Now.

Well said.

Someone please explain to me what the nacho sub was meant to achieve? Players and pep really shit the bed today. Sterling gave his all but one man is not enough.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "We created enough chances in the first half to score. After what happened we were not able to score and they had one chance and scored. They scored straight after the second half and that is tough mentally for the players.

"The consequence of the game is an example of many that has happened this season. It is football. In football you sometimes don't need to do many things to score. They arrive once and score a goal. It is not today it is almost all the season and it is tough for the players to handle that situation.

"Of course we can do better. It is awful for my players. It is normal to live these kind of situations sometimes.

"I said to the players be positive because they have made fantastic things in this season but didn't always get what we deserve. I think all managers can say this, though."

We see it every fucking week!! Every shot almost is a goal against us and we can't finish, tackle or defend.....oh but we can pass the ball sideways and backwards and win the possession game though!!! We all know the fucking problem, YOU are being paid 5 million a year to sort it so get it fucking done!!!!

It's actually £15million-a-year mate!

The warning signs were there with this squad the past 2 seasons - this summer we ignored it and still kept it largely as it was.

Bad mistake.

We wont finish top 4 and won't get the top players.

Tread water for 3 years for Pep only to do this. Fucking joke.

This thread is toxic—several posters are charging into realms that could be labelled as marginally racist and/or xenophobic.

We lost... badly... but some on here seem to be channeling their inner most facist selves.

The fuck you talking about? PC bullshit? I'm liberal ffs and this shit even annoys me.

Huh? He bought Gundogan, Stones and Bravo. All a massive miss.

Bravo the only miss, Stones will be decent, can't improve with the back three and goalie as it is, Gundogan was looking ok until injury - needed more than the signings made last summer, start now and get a couple in.

Diego Simeone, that the man for us, take no F**ing prisoners and give the supporters a team to be proud of

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Coming out of the ground, city fans blaming Bravo! Fucking hell, what a bunch of bellends.

Not really, the guy is a waste of space. Even a Paul Robinson kind of keeper would have us at least 6 points better off - the guy is shite. One of whiskey nose's best decisions was to drop Leighton for Les Sealey in the FA cup replay - Pep needs to have the balls to make a similar decision.

Garcia should have got a game in midfield rather than zabba. Yayas legs have gone.

Doesn't help both our best CMs are injured or banned

That is a very very worrying interview

I rarely post in the post match thread, but it is so obvious we are less than the sum of our parts. Whatever Pep is trying to do he can't do it with these players and I'm beginning to think it can't be done in the Premier League. Everton have had three shots and three goals and all three were straight out of the 1970's playbook.
Been saying for months that it's a goal a chance for opposing teams. We spend most of the games at the opponents end, but they venture into our box and we all think we're about to concede. No match saving saves by our GK like we've become used to for many years prior to this season.
