Everton

Result today puts them in the mix for that 4th spot

Nonsense. That would require them to have an unbelievable run and for the 4 teams above them to collapse. I do think they are a good team, but there's too much ground to make up.
Look at their run-in, then retract your comment.

Hold on a second, have I stumbled on to the wrong forum?

Wasn't it only a few weeks ago this board was full of people gloating that the blue scouse were in trouble, a relegation battle, no money to spend, a shit manager in charge, they'd lost their best player to us... they were in crisis?

At least it cheers me up that so many on here are not only fickle about their own club... but also about other clubs.

Yeah I do recall the Moyes is past it, needs to move on yada, yada posts. I also recall Everton bottled it against a 10 man pool recently and if they get close to the mix for 4th spot they would collapse into a funk when it really matters a bit like when it mattered in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Fans on football forums are so f**king bi-polar it makes you f**king dizzy with the mood swings

I did that BBC predicter thing for all games till the end of the season. It just wont happen. I will reiterate: they have to rely on 4 teams above them, yes 4 teams, collapsing.

Isnt our game in hand against everton. Trust us to play them when they are playing well.
If we played them at the start of the season when we should have and when they were
crap i would have been a little more confident.

Interestingly a win over Liverpool tomorrow and our results since Christmas are only 1 point worse than Evertons.

Apparently we're in crisis.

Yes, but who have we played since Christmas? - Stoke x 2, Wolves, Everton, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Hull, and Bolton.
Everton have had a much tougher schedule - Sunderland x 2, Burnley, Birmingham, Wigan, us, Liverpool, Chelsea, United, Arsenal.

We're in 4th place, which is great, but we've really had a very easy run of games, and a lot of help from the teams around us. The first of those things is about to change, and if the second does as well, we sure as hell won't remain 4th unless we start playing a lot better than we have done recently.

I'd take 7th, although I think we can Spurs a good go for 6th if we get a result there next week.

Am not here to create trouble or anything like that, just wanted to input on this thread.

I have no idea where we'll finish, but I predict we'll end up on 59 points. Yeah, the start of our season was horrific, what with Lescott leaving, Moyes totally clueless and insisting on hoofball all the time plus our horrendous injury list, I was fearing for the worst.

But it seems Moyes has finally worked out how to beat a sky 4 club and this past week or so has been the best week in an Evertonians life for some time. And finally, we are actually playing some nice stuff.

I fully expect us to overhaul Villa, they are a very basic team and seem to falter this time of the season. We were 12 points behind them this time last season and still easily finished ahead of them. Not sure about Spurs, they aren't doing well at the moment either.

In fact if you look at the form table, you can see Everton are catching up <a class="postlink" href="http://www.premierleague.com/page/FormGuide" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.premierleague.com/page/FormGuide</a>

My predictions for the top are

Chelski
L'Arse
Mancs
Red Shite
City
Spurs
Everton
Villa

You can only beat who you come up against, and if this season has proven anything, it's that the "easier games" are no guarantee of points, just as the "harder games" are no lost causes.
