i hate moyes and i bet he's off when the next big offer comes in

everton are the man city of the 80s

I can't be bothered hating Moyes. Dislike, yes.

As for Everton, Arteta going is a big nail in their coffin. Perhaps not as big as if it was Cahill or Fellaini etc, but big none the less. And its not as if £10 mill is going to do much for them. Couldn't go on players even if the window wasn't shut.
Asking for a transfer says a lot as well. How many will want to jump ship next window?

Like you say, been there, done that.

Everton have avery good side when everyone is fit!

-----------------------Twitcher---------------------
Neville--------Jagielka--------Distin--------Baines
------------------------Fellaini----------------------
?????????????????????????????????????????
-------------------Saha--------Cahill----------------

It's just their midfield that is a bit weak. But still easily a top half side!

they just signed drenthe on loan, not a bad player either

the best they can hope for this season is mid to lower table. get a few injuries and suspentions and they'll be fighting relegation. 1-0 to QPR at home is not a good sign.

i for one will piss myself if they go down. all those years of listening to then tell me city are shit whilst they cling onto the 80s. whos laughing now dickheads!!

I see what you're saying, and kind of agree, but my point would be this;

those ? = 3 players!!!

Without something descent instead of the ? no service for Saha/Cahill.

And that's assuming no injuries. That's a big assumption.

If they are fighting around mid table again, even if they make it look good like last season, won't the likes of Fellaini/Cahill be tempted to 'do an Arteta'?

Judging from Kenwright's recent comments it wouldn't surprise me if the Bank insisted on the sale of Arteta and that most, if not all, of the money has gone to lower the overdraft.

Personally I used to quite like Everton back in the 70's and early 80's. Their fans were normally quite friendly towards us when we played at Goodison. Even when we won there. There was usually a good bit of banter in the pub before and after the match.

Things have changed big time since and in recent years I too have come to despise them. They don't appear to be able to get over the fact that we hit the jackpot whilst they remain in the shadow of the dippers. Plus they still hold this ridiculous grudge about the Lescott affair. They received double what the player was worth IMO, and the fact that they wouldn't (or couldn't) spend it is hardly City's fault. They are a very bitter crew from the Boardroom down to the Manager and to the fans. It's about time we put a few past them at our place. Hopefully on the 24/9.
