DAVID MOYES admits Everton need time to heal

DAVID MOYES admits Everton need time to heal after their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Liverpool.

The Toffees suffered heartache at Wembley on Saturday as their local rivals came from behind to beat them 2-1.

Moyes has not played down the impact of that blow, but has stressed that he and his players are fully focused on the remainder of their Premier League campaign.

The Scot said: “We are obviously really disappointed from the game and it is going to take us a wee while to get over it.

“It is not the sort of thing you can just shrug off.

“It was the semi-final of the cup and I think anyone losing a semi-final finds it hard, but when you lose to your neighbours that makes it even worse.

“So from our point of view, it will take a while, but we have a really good, tough game now and strangely enough, it is one I think I’d prefer to have than not have.”

He's one point ahead of those neighbours and has a real chance of putting one over them yet he comes out with crap like that.

For all the wanking that goes on over him, Moyes will never hack it as a big club manager. He is in his comfort zone right now and his away record against the Sky 4 is nothing short of disgraceful. So what, he turns Goodison into a fortress against top sides (except a certain one), so does Pulis with Stoke.

One thing is certain, the Everton team that beat us will not be turning up at the swamp.

I expect about 15 mins of 'fight' before they crumble and succumb to an eventual 3 goal loss.

Well how wrong the majority of us were..........

I have always hated everton, but call me fickle, but that stance has some what mellowed to a mild dislike !

Got to say they did much better than I dared even hope.
