Couldn't see this posted elsewhere, well worth a read

No one should be surprised by that article. We are football fans therefore by definition we're hooligans in the eyes of the police.

I went to an FSF meeting entitled "Watching football is not a crime" where it was quite clear GMP thought it was.

It's amazing how ill informed and profoundly ignorant Police Officers can be. This must be filtered from the top down. A recent classic was Liverpool Street Station in London before Norwich away. About 20 of us were gathered on the concourse waiting for our train to arrive and several Policemen were taking it turns to stare at us. We had a variety of City scarves, shirts and jackets on but, when one had the bottle to approach us, he did so with a piercing stare and asked us (without a hint of sarcasm) about what we were doing and where we were going.

They can be as thick as Stewards sometimes but, worryingly, have a fair bit more authority.

Isn't the ball thief the City fan who got the ball after the QPR title winning game?
dont think he got banned as he was allowed to return the ball as it was classed as part of our history and Joe Hart gave him a pair of his gloves, I may be wrong but thats how I remember it
