Ex footballers who dislike you

Sounds like I've upset you / spoiled your weekend
I never claimed to be the Duncan shearer expert ,lol
Actually, we are very much lower league now and I was understandably upset by a disappointing goalless draw with Accrington yesterday. Uncle Jack scuppered our promotion chances when he took Shearer, barely played him and then found out there was a better Shearer. And don’t get me going on Matt Richie going to Bournemouth for a derisory sum because our owner wanted out, not many years after they were rattling the buckets at the County Ground to help stave off bankruptcy. And then there’s the two level demotion for some questionable but amateurish financial shenanigans.
Anyway, better now. Have a lovely weekend.

I still haven't recovered from my first trip to Swindon late 80s when we came across that mad roundabout
Is it 7 mini roundabouts all making up one big r/a ?

The person on Wiltshire council traffic dept who dreamt that up probably got promotion,.... when they really needed sectioning...; )

Our supporters club played yours early that sat morning.i can't remember the score ,which prob means we lost
A rare defeat for our team, prob still in a state of shock after that roundabout !
Enjoy what's left of your weekend !!

Swindon’s not got many claims to fame, apart from XTC and the Magic Roundabout.
What must never be forgotten is that 5 roads feed into it and traffic lights controlling that would be a nightmare. Approach it with conviction and remember the basic principles of a roundabout and you won’t go far wrong. However, I think it unlikely you will have the need negotiate it in the near future, given the current states of the two clubs.

Great player but an arse of a person. IMHO.

Why? Always seems to stick up for City when I see or hear him in the press and seems to have a likable funny personality. Nobody is going to be in a good mood sat doing a book signing nobody has turned up to, especially after a smart comment.

Must be tough for you seeing Oxford in the Championship. My cousin is a U’s season ticket holder, he and his mates utterly despise Swindon almost as much as I hate the rags. Never really understood why either side classes it as a derby though, you’re bloody miles apart.

Worked in Swindon for a few years. The trick to crossing the Magic Roundabout is to keep looking right. If no-one’s coming, keep moving.

If we can have a Derby against someone who doesn’t share a city with us, why can’t anyone else?!

Graeme Le Saux came over and called me a wanker on the concourse of CB level 3 when I jokingly said to Martin Tyler pre derby don’t forget there are two teams on the pitch today. Didn’t swear at Tyler or anything next thing Le Saux in my face calling me a wanker.

First time for anything
Anybody who knows me would find your suggestion that am a rag amusing.
My level of dislike for them lead to me having my first and only ever name and number on a City shirt.
Munich 58
I am not that bitter anymore please forgive me. CTID

Tbf, I remember Swindon FC supporters club looked after us that day,we had drinks in your bar,.after the supporters match.
I think.memory a bit hazy now,but we would have played you on a pitch near the county ground,.
87 /88 season

Terry Cooke!
Playing in the reserves/ EDS at Hyde, he was subbed.
A senior player in a team full of kids I thought he'd take his place on the bench and be a role model to some very young lads.
He didn't! He went to get showered.

So I said: " That's it Terry go and get yourself changed why don't you?"

"What's your problem? I just wanna meet up with my father-in-law!"
He got a volley of verbals from people around me as he walked off!

Mard rag ba****d!!!!!

Funniest bit was him looking for me when I was walking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
