Expectations - 2021/22

Any silverware equals a fantastic season. Would love to win the FA cup as I don't think we do ourselves justice in it most seasons. Fear the rags will have an insurance bet on them for the league. I never used to believe in agenda but having seen our early fixtures starring to have my suspicions. White Hart Lane rarely a lucky ground for us apart from 2011 and Keegan cup tie. Went to watch my " other team " Fleetwood Town on Saturday lost to Pompey but so so good to be back at the footy.

With or without Kane I’m very bullish about this season, and I’m usually quite pessimistic.

The team is absolutely purring. I feel that after what he achieved last season, we’re in peak Pep territory.

Torres and Ake both in their second season and will really want to make their mark. Grealish will be thrilling, Foden another year older, Zinchenko another year as a left back under his belt, Raz will be chomping at the bit…

BRING. IT. ON.

Throw Kane into the mix and you can give us the title the second he signs on the dotted line.

Champions league is the wild card as ever. We’ll either win it, go out in the round of 16, or anywhere in between. It’s a tournament and once you strip out the obviously second string sides, it’s a lottery to an extent.

Chelsea are favourites, maybe not with the bookies, but in my opinion. United and Liverpool strengthened, going to be one hell of a fight this season!

I beg to differ about WHL. I know the new stadium has been a graveyard but we've had some good results at the old WHL over the years. I have a feeling we'll break our duck at the new one on Sunday - we've already outplayed them there twice but come away empty handed.

Would like to win everything going.

Going to be tough this year so I'll go:

Premier league = 4th
Chumps League = QF
FA Cup = 6th round
Carabao = 4th round

Hopefully, I will be talking complete bollocks and we walk away with the lot!

Gonna be a tough start with our farcical preseason but i expect we'll get properly into our stride mid October(ish)

PL will be closer, hopefully one of the domestic cups again, and we have to win that CL (maybe get someone else to pick the team though)

Very important we keep in touch during the first 2-3 months of the season, very difficult start with little or no pre season.

If we are still in the mix by October, we will be the side to beat, although it will be far harder than last season, the return of crowds will make a huge difference this year.

Biggest concern is not bringing a striker to replace serg (irreplaceable I know but we still need another striker IMO.)
I’d be delighted with a top 4 finish as no chance of winning the league this time

We have the ability to win everything. Literally.

However, competing for the title, even if we don’t retain it, and win silverware are minimum expectations.

Media expectations demand a CL win, because Pep would be a failure otherwise, right?! SMH.

Be nice to win CL, but it feels like PSG have the early inside track! And, as the Runner-Up in Ligue 1, they’ll be a 2 seed in their group…probably ours!

Be nice to see Grealish bed in very well, and at least one other Academy player break through.

The Messi mess has shut out the Champs League for all but PSG . The league will be tough and if we start like last season we’ll not catch up against improved Chelsea rags and dippers. I’d like to see us nick the title on the last day but also not rollover against the scum as we have recently.
