Expectations - 2021/22

I'd like to win everything please including the Charity Shield, Super Cup and World Club thingy because i'm a spoilt bastard.
What a pre-season team photo that would be...........
In truth lets be in the title hunt all season with potential to win it and a pot would be nice preferably the big eared one but any will do.

If we come through the first seven games with 17-18 points, I will know already the league is on for us again.

I think all four English clubs could be in contention for Champs League semi-finals.
I always think that if we are in touch at Christmas we will win the league. No one is better than us on the run-in. We have proved that time and again. I think we will have a lot of changes next season so it all depends on how the new team (and formation) beds in. I hope we win the League Cup early doors (back in its normal slot) because it usually gives us momentum for the rest of the season.

from the various noises coming out in the media, next season could be a transitional one for us as we find a solution for the striker conundrum and a couple of fan faves could also be on their way out.

I think we will still be in the race for all competitions but i think playing 2 &1/2 seasons b2b without a break since project restart will have a detrimental effect across all teams.

Chelsea and Liverpool will also be hot on our heels.

Hopefully a return to full stadiums will be possible and some athmosphere and drive from the fans will make watching football more exciting again and game day for match going supporters can get back to how it was. I miss that...

I'd just like us to cement our issues up top and see some brilliant team football.

I think next season will be much tighter across the board.

We have a tough opening couple of months, as our players already went all the way to Champions League final and they were then off to the Euros.

Our guys are all pivotal to their national teams and most will go deep, before getting three weeks off at best, with little opportunity for pre-season games.

We saw how we suffered during the first couple months of last season after finishing the season late.

Not sure we can afford to give teams likes United, Liverpool and Chelsea too much early momentum.

If City can get a good points haul from those first seven games, we will have gained a direct advantage on rivals who will also be surely stronger come November time.

It sounds incredibly spoilt of me but I hope a bit of new blood will get Pep back to playing some more exciting football than we saw in the last 2 seasons.

In 19/20 we were awful to watch at times and while the "worst football since Pearce" thread was hilarious for all the wrong reasons, there was a kernel of truth in that we weren't seeing the most exciting stuff for various reasons.

Fresh blood should bring fresh ideas, maybe even a couple of kids coming through as well, it should make things all a bit more fast paced and exciting.

We have had so much football rammed down our throats since June 2020 that I only have the appetite for exciting games.

I expect us to compete for everything. It's still the PL as priority for me and the Milk Cup is ours anyway so everyone is just playing for a day out at Wembley.

if after utd away we are there or there abouts its will be ours to throw away
a liverpool home and away mate of mine said this morning we all can give up if we are in touch at that point

Problem is, we've set the bar so high that winning the league and or a domestic cup is deemed not to be a good season, especially by the ****'s in the media..

It's absolutely crazy when you think about it..

For me the PL would be more than enough..

To be the best in your Country, in the hardest league in World football outweighs the glorified European cup competition where you can lose as many games in it as in a 38 game PL season and still win it..

There are 4 major trophies to win each season and we've had our name on the majority of them for the best part of a decade..

What an unbelievable achievement that is, not to mention the gallons of piss we've managed to boil along the way..!

Whatever happens, win one, win the lot, win fcuk all, we're all stuck with City..

One thing's for certain, being hooked on City is without doubt a much better option than being a rag, dipper or cocker knee..!
