We will buy 3 more players at least. Everyone should chil out. I think we will win the league quite convincingly.

we should aim high , 40 pts will guarantee safety , then we can kick-on and get a nice mid table finish , maybe a decent cup run , and hope to keep hold of our better players at the end of the season , those were the days.

Agree with everything the OP. Personally I'll be happy with a top 3 finish and qualifying from champs league group. Its clearly going to be much tougher domestically next year with Chelsea slight favourites. Most of the top 6 will be taking points off one another its the one that consistently gets all 3 points against the mid and lower teams that will most likely win it. Can't help think last season was our best chance to add silverware. Summer purchases really screwed us. Oh well lets hope we see a new style of football that will be attacking and ruthless against the likes of Sunderland and Everton away.

I don't expect to win anything. That would make me sound like an arrogant U*ited fan;)
I cant really give a balanced expectation until we know our squad for the coming season.
With the squad we have at this very moment the most i would say with the addition of our 2 new players at least fighting for the title with the likes of Chelsea and rags and advancing from the group stage of the champions league.

I think if Chelsea get Cavani they'll win the league unfortunately. If we do though that's a different story.

So they won it and an FA Cup and then they didn't. Not so hard to understand or believe. The same team went backwards and finished way behind the rags. Now many say twas Mancini's problem. Let's wait and see. All I was pointing out in my first response in this thread is that Pellegrini may not hit the ground running and nor may his new squad members. It's possible.Like I also said I hope they win every fucking thing but my gut feel is this year they won't.
For me there is no guarantee of a trophy this year.

If we get a decent striker (or two) in, then the league is achievable. Defence and midfield are finest the moment. But relying on just two proven PL strikers (not including Giudetti as he is untried at that level) will leave us VERY short upfront.

I couldn't disagree more. I think we have the best team in the league right now. Sure we need a couple more signings to ensure that in case of injuries but who scares you? United? I'm not impressed by their team. They won a very weak laeague last year and they are only getting older. Unless they make some serious changes they will be fighting for CL with Arsenal and Spurs. Chelsea will certainly be better but their CH's are still a weakness as is their DM and striker.
