dont want to come across as a doom mongerer..buuuutt.. i have a bit of a downer on our chances of signing a world class player this transfer window.
maybe its seeing kaka go to madrid, or messi,eto'o and henry now blissfully happy at barca, or villa most likely manouvering a move to barca (allegedly) for his own reasons.
last week i was optimistic, but i am taking stock of our position in the league and scaling down my expectations.
please dont get me wrong, i think we will sign some top top players, but those of the world class variety may have to wait.
so maybe with this in mind, i think i will just sit back and enjoy the next few months rather than perch on the edge of my seat waiting for the 'biggie'.
