In the first half we gave the ball away after we won it. Makes you wonder why they bother tackling when all they do is give the ball back after 1 or 2 passes. That can't be upper premier league standard, hitting the ball aimlessly up field or, clearing a cross that goes straight to the opposition or, a header with no pressure on the player and he heads it to the only Hull player nearby. I bet Hull have never had so much possession in a home game this season. This was the way we played under hughes, away from home.

We played better 2nd half but we lacked any leaders to get at least a draw.

Why is this squad of players so fickle?

Last 2 games we have really struggled with Vinny missing. Looking at the season so far he has been our stand out player with the limited opportunities he has had. Other first teamers, notably the midfield seem to only put in a good game when it suits them. What's so frustrating for us poor saps watching it is we know how good they can all be on their day. So what is the problem? At times they look confused to me, as though they don't know where they should be playing, and wether to hold or go. With so much upheaval this year perhaps Mancini and Kidd are trying to be a bit too clever with all this squad rotation and switching formation mid-game. Barring injuries, how about settling on 11 players who can work together and just let them play. It can't be that simple though, can it.........?
