Don't think this is a really important issue tonight.So we should be most vigilant pre-match and post-match...
The searching only increases the risk of casualties due to the queues.
One thing we do have on our side is the campus and possibly being able to stop people entering from the campus entry points.

When you see the queues outside the turnstiles on matchdays, we're sitting ducks for someone with a rifle
I don't want to tempt fate but the security services do a pretty decent job of keeping automatic firearms off our streets
Manchester Arena tweeted that the incident took place OUTSIDE the arena in a public space.
It will be in the foyer outside Mcdonalds and outside the ticket points but still inside the building so to speak.

It was where the McDonalds is/where the ticket office is. I'd say just over a minute after the last song so just as people we're starting to leave but sadly some people had already started leaving and would have gotten caught up in it.

It's not just football supporters, it's anyone as tonight's incident shows. Shopping centres, streets packed with people like oxford street in London, nightclubs. Just didn't expect it to be at an event packed with kids.
