Exposing the hypocrisy of journalists

I automatically retweet dog pics/videos . C'mon I can't keep my feed static...I tweet about all sorts of stuff...most of them are silly

Agree. I'm just one voice in a crowd, there are some more amazing voices out there and more are needed. Also IMHO the club needs to really up it's PR game and kick out Rob Harris and his bent cronies our of our pressers. An AP reporter getting kicked out for (alleged) misinformation and bias would shine a harsh light on the bias (and on us but at some moments I don't think coverage can get worse).

Also I am thoroughly undeserving of a separate thread...can we move the convo to the media thread? Thanks :))
wasn't a go at you , more of a go at myself because I didn't know what to do to navigate to the part I wanted to read ,your lordshipness :)

There are a lot of so called journo's who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near our club. They continue to turn up week-in-week-out and trough the free food and drink that the club kindly provide for them, and still have the cheek to write spiteful, borderline slanderous bile for their newspapers and social media feeds.

I really wouldn't mind if they slagged us off for playing sh*te if we deserved it (remember how sports journalist used to be fair and honest), but half of them have their hack job written before the game.

It's just nice to have someone who knows their sh*t enough to be able to take these clowns to task without having to resort to petty name calling.

didn't take it the wrong way your greatness :)

Rob Harris was called out for constantly peddling the lie that City is state owned
He's tried justifying it by saying that "he has never had a request not to say "Abu Dhabi owned Manchester City"

As Harris works for Associated Press and their rules state that their journalists must remain independent and not receive any inducements from other sources, Rabin directly asked Harris if he's been paid by Qatari owned Bein Sports (Al Jazeera) and Harris wouldn't deny it

Cheers for the re-cap

Quite the non sequitur really.

Liverpool could be described as 'American owned', so I don't have a problem with 'Abu Dhabi owned'.

It's the repeated claims of state ownership which were being challenged. And avoided.

I'll try to link the tweet where Harris is actually quoted "the state owns the club"

Someone has pointed out "If @RobHarris said that the ownership of @mancity was close to the UAE state, then no-one would deny that. It’s self-evidently true. To say it’s the same is at best very poor accuracy way below your standards."

If you ask me there should only be one journalist in the pressers and that's Martin Samuel .

The rest can get fucked.
Brennan has straightened his act out regarding City the last few years, Sam Lee is alright for a rag, Mullock is a blue even if he's a pillock. Daniel Storey is top notch.

Not sure if this is the right place for it, but have you noticed now that two of the world's most high profiles are involved on very similar disputes with their clubs whilst subject to transfer to Barcelona.

Griezmann failed to turn up to training amidst allegations that Barcelona 'tapped up' the player, and Neymar has also failed to show for training. I take it FIFA are going to be investigating this? There's all kinds of murk and foul play in football, and yet it only seems to be City who come to the attention of the footballing authorities.

This time at least someone from the media has reported this, but I seriously doubt UEFA will look at this. This type of activity, or alleged activity, brings the game into disrepute, and UEFA's appearing to operate double standards, does likewise.

This reminds me of how Real Madrid used to use their influence to gobble up and push through galactico transfers every Summer so that they only had to mention that a player was a transfer target in the Summer, before eventually extracting him from the targeted club.

Comments Mr Tebas?

Bayern Munich are trying to get Leroy to have a similar attitude.

It's not just Barca.
