Official site says we’ve only Wigan twice before in the FA Cup, 2013 and 2014, thought I saw them at Maine Road in 1971 when they were none league. Sloppy

We played them at home in the 4th round in 2006 as well. Won 1-0

Yes and Wigan played Arsenal in the Semi and almost won as Arsenal were in shocking form at the time. Arsenal then went on to win the cup and have won it 3 times in 4 seasons. We would have beaten them in that semi, I’m convinced.

If we get through, we then face the single most important point in the whole competition > getting a home draw in the 6th round. If we are at home in the quarters, don't care who we get. I know this season we'd feel confident home or away, but I always feel being at home this round makes so much importance. Got no statistics to back it up, just a feeling.
