I dont care if this has already been said by anyone else...

If anyone from the club is/does read this then please get over to Germany and speak to the clubs about how it's done a.s.a.p. The crowds and how to cram them in (£10 tickets helps I guess) but more so the atmosphere and the way the the pa guy gets the crowd going with his own enthusiasm. Every goal or player mantioned and the crowd goes wild.... He says the players first name and the stadium finish it! It sounds emence and that's what I want at COMS, interaction, and A pa guy who sounds excited and like he wants to be there. Get on a plane tonight and set up meetings for tomorrow or pay me and I'll go and do the research for you.
Germany needs to be where we look for making COMS into the place we all crave and want, the football will come but it'll come quicker with the crowd on side too. Surely this is the key?
Thoughts?

germany are leading the way imo,but dont think they dont have empty stadiums cos they do,i think city will be the leaders in giving football back to fans by the way of discounted tickets

dont arsenal do the first and last name thing and people give them stick over it

another thing that would help would be 14/ final of the champions league

Half of our crowd would have been sat in the car park when Bayern scored. To beat the rush.

Arsenal do the same thing with the players names and I think it is quite cringeworthy.

Let's get ourselves one of these:

Cheap booze, food and decent ticket prices too please. :)

Didnt mean do that, more the use of it as an example of how the pa guy got the crowd involved and up for it. Agree that particular thing would be cringeworthy but we could and should have someone getting the crowd up.

As for the other quote of half the crowd being sat in the car park well.... I go the game to be entertained, to watch the people I pay put on a show. Now if they dont show that then am I'm entitled to show my displeasure by doing what I want? Does anyone other than me pay for my ticket? No, so what I do shouldnt worry anyone else should it? Just making a point, hate it when people say "you shouldnt leave early" I go with my old man who isnt so cleaver anymore and he walks to the car once the extra time board goes up and I follow so he can be in the car before the rush, where is the harm in that? I owe the club nothing, they owe me for the 32 years of kack I have endured and now we have the players I expect a little more.

For the most part, I like our announcer guy. But last night it took about 5mins to read the teams out, and by the subs, I think people are bored of cheering...then a lull, then cheering...then a lull.

I think the first leg of the semi had a different guy, and he read them out quicker, which lead to a more sustained cheer in time for kick off (not that we needed much help that night!)

WTF?? You go on about enthusiasm etc then in the next post say you leave early if you're not being entertained to your satisfaction!!

There's a big culture difference. In Germany (and most of Europe), the fans are in the ground way before kick off. In England, there's queues at the turnstyles at 2:55pm because everyone's turned up at the last minute.

Also, as mentioned, we tend to leave grounds early to "avoid the traffic", which is a pretty British thing to do.

I just want the game to be more of an experiance, and yeh I want something to keep me at the game without feeling "fuck it I'm bored lets go" tbh I was ready to go at half time but stayed last night until about 5mins to go. As an experiance the US and Germany seem to be leading the way and we should be looking at the NHL, NFL, NBA German league etc etc to see how things are done. We are getting there but we need to up the gear a little. The bluemoon idea and lights out was great the first two time then faded, we need someone to be coming up with something different for every game imo.
City give me a job eh!

I said it has fuck all to do with anyone else "if" I was to go early... Last night I did yeh 5mins early but I dont always. You do know it doesnt make you any better for staying dont you? I was bored shittless last night and the fact we had a 12min hatrick just took the edge off what was a dire performance. Like I say, if they change things then the crowd will be up for it and in turn that will get the players buzzing and up for it too meaning they perform and those that do go may just stay.

True but we are trying to break the mould so lets do it properly and make it how it should be. It's intimidating for the away team and fans to hear a full house chear and sing. Stick the away fans in the third teir and fill the bottom with singing blues to drown them out, Newcastle do it so why cant we?

couldnt agre more mate but there is another thread saying last night didnt work but i bet if tevez had of scored the chance in the 1st half that just missed the post and city went in 1 or 2 up there be a thread sayin the atmosphere was brill sometimes if not all the time fans react to what happens on the pitch

the b.munich fans were in full voice till 60sec into the game then they were silent till they got back into the game

it just aint city in fairness its all english clubs have shit atmosphere imo

The problem that would beset most football teams, certainly the bottom half of the EPL, is that the 'entertainment' pre-match and during the match would just bring shame onto the level of football served up! I can see BBurn and Bolton selling out if yer had some geezer on the mike - something their bootball (no sp. mistake) would never do!
