Yeah, lets do away with the loyalty points system and let those that couldnt be bothered going to York, Grimsby, Gillingham (league), etc the oppertunity to buy tickets for the big games now were are on the cusp of being successfull again, infact why not raffle all the away tickets to ensure only those with the biggest wallets can go?

Its not boring mate, its a respected nod of the head, maybe a wink and an "Al'right mate" to the same fans who have been there through thick and thin and are now enjoying the fact they can sit back and not worry about getting prestige tickets anymore!

York in the 2nd Division, or any second division match, didn't accrue you additional points.

York is a great place to go, why do people have a downer on it?

The points system came into use in Aug 2003.

Games were tracked from Aug 2001 two years before.

For example you needed 2000 for Groclin Away st the start in 2003. Which was 1500 for being a season ticket holder five years plus, and another 50 games Away or Cup at 10 points (no 20 or 30 point lark then), which was about the max you could have.

Before Aug 2003 only season ticket years counted 1000 + 100 per year up to 5 years so 1500 max.

to be fair, even if you went every game since coms you'd be close to 5000 as it is.

1) Cause it is the wrong side of them hills.
2) Cause the last time i was there i got plastered (ok that doesnt narrow things dow much)
3) it is not a city CITY should EVER go to for a league game
4) they prefer a silly looking flower instead of a beautiful rose
5) the pubs i got blocked in were then shown on national TV under water
& I could have swore that the loyalty points were brought in before THAT season, though i could be wrong (I normally am), but the people that followed the blues home and away through that period and have kept the faith are more deserving of a "big game" ticket than the likes of me, or any jcl ever will.
Loyalty points are points to reward LOYALTY.

Yeah I would have it down for 6,500 if you were a regular season ticket holder pre CoMS then started doing the cups and aways at the switch.

-- Wed Apr 07, 2010 8:38 pm --

I don't agree with a loyalty point system.

The 2nd div aways led to it being brought in (along with branches getting too much), you had to que up at the ticket office for every away with all your stubs to be stamped, that led to tracking on a database to make it easier, which led to points.

I would not mid York in the 3rd round away next year, it is a great piss-up.

Ok i can agree with you saying that the likes of me should not get tickets for top away games cause i was only doing 18 - 20 games a season while other blues were doing more, but there are members of my club that have trafvelled over from Northern ireland for a lot of years home and away following MCFC when plenty were picking and choosing their away games (our club took 15 out of 20 members to Derby away), friends of ours have only missed one game since the Loyalty points was intriduced and that was when the club gave points to those that watched Millwarr in the Kippax, my mate was in the ground....

i know that I am not worthy of top tickets, but quite a few of those that i go to games are, but would never be able to get them if we returned to the "good old days" of looking at stubs from a programme.

The points system is one of the Best things to ever come out of the ticket office, and is the envy of a lot of clubs.
Instead of moaning about it go to some more games (Not just the fashionable ones) and build up your Points.
