f*cking M.E.N again

What were the headlines when we beat Spurs 1-5 and United beat arsenal 8 - 2?

Weren't they something like Manchester 13, North London 3...?

That really is bollocks. One team a season will score 7 or more goals, maybe two at a push. Give it the recognition it deserves. If they'd scored seven you'd have to go four pages deep to find out we'de even played!

Imagine if arsenal scored 7?

Decade long ejaculation fest.

To be fair they do have to cover both clubs, they can't dedicate a full front page to just us.

No doubt Oakiecokie will be posting when he sees this thread. Informing us all that we're paranoid and the M.E.N. is a bastion of editorial excellence.

In reality, it's a shocking publication, who's readership is made up of busy coonts who feel the need to keep tabs on their next door neighbours, on the off chance they might be named and shamed for picking up a speeding fine.

yep utd home and away
they never going to headline a positive for man city best home win in 40 years in the top league why run the headline with 10 goal bonanza when it was man city day with a 7.0 win yes (seven)

and the first line is
Both Premier League teams scored heavily in their wins on a good day for football in Greater Manchester

what the fuck is that both score heavily when utd only win 3.1 its shocking for a local main news paper

The cost of the squad seems to be old news now, more recently we are now ruining English football. Did you not notice yesterday there was not one Englishman in the team, appears to be the latest stick to beat us with.
God only knows how the arse got away with it for so long.

they can spin anything to do with utd to make a story look good that's why they sell there crap paper to the glory hunters

but they love nothing more than sticking the boot in with Manchester city they can say what they like with the utd fans who love it. the world is base around the club in there eyes nothing else is happing outside of the world of utd

little old Manchester city football club don't need to sell papers in Manchester to fans who have there heads on or don't have them up there own bum hole
we see what happing in Manchester and the truth hurts

You need a better phone mate.

Their influence is spreading to the radio.
Real XS news and sport mentioned the rags win at Fulham as the only item. Hard to believe when the Manchester team scored seven.
On the morning of the day we played CSKA the only match mentioned on the news and sport was the rags home CL tie.
Not even a bloody mention yet again.
BUT NO AGENDA OBVIOUSLY
Unless it's just that twat Sweeney writing the sports news.

I wonder if the same headline about a ten goal bonanza would appear had The Swamp Donkeys got the seven and we'd got the three!
This one's easy to check. When they beat Arsenal 8-2, we beat Spurs 5-1. I'd be interested to see the back page. 28th August 2011, if anyone knows how to find out.

It read Manchester 13 North London 3.

What was the headline when we beat them 6-1?

I bet they thought long and hard about "United edged out in 7 goal thriller" before deciding not to.
