There isn't a single other local newspaper in the land that would allow such a sneering and disdainful piece against a local football team see the light of day.
Just shows how pathetic they are
Beneath our contempt really, like shit on yer shoe

Well done to united, I believe this will be helpful towards uncle Malc's debts. Although over at the swamp those guys must be scratching their noggins on how united, who after all are the most popular, bestest and biggest club in world history...ever!!! Seem to get over one million LESS per year through their 'glory fans tour' gates than Barca.

This must piss on their chips some what.

It's laughable that this is worth celebrating for such a world dominating club, it's not like a Bury and Rochdales best pitch comp, we're talking about world footballs elite, founder member of the chumps league gang. I'd be fookin livid that we fall such along way behind clubs like Barcelona. 20 years of winning trophies on throphies yet the numb fooks still can't get it right!!

The best thing to come from this is that they used to take the piss about city and its little bragging rights, like the size of our pitch/flood lights etc.....lol, makes you think just how much we are slowly suffocating them with their cheap shots.....thankfully they seem to be getting their shots of the field of play rather than on.

Anyway, congratulations to all the boys and girls at city and united who make these tours happen each week its nice to be recognised for hard work.

Why not "8 Manchester players picked"?

Hodgson backs Hart as two City and six united players picked.

If we had six players in the England squad we would be battling for fourth this year as well.

Its getting worse and I'm 99% sure they have someone reading this forum, knowing they piss us off.

If you are reading this, suck my blue balls you rag ****.

I love Manchester, I really do, even the fucking rain (well maybe not the constant drizzle).

But it's main newspaper is fucking toilet paper.

this

This is the kind of thing that would usually wind me right up, but in this instance I just find it very, very funny... it's so utterly pathetic and desperate that 'grasping at straws' doesn't even come close to describing it.

In fact I could almost believe that it could have been written by a blue as a parody article.

As a neutral, I must admit that I found the article somewhat amusing.

It was obviously written by a United season ticket holder.

But having said that, an average of less than 137 visitors per day to Manchester City's stadium does seem like a rather small number.

And before you ask, I have absolutely no idea how many people tour White Hart Lane.

City must be doing something right. Voted 1/37 by 108 reviewers on Tripadvisor for activities in Manchester.

Like you, I have no idea how many fans do the equivalent at White Hart Lane. However the same website does place it a respectable 164/502 for activities in London based on a whopping 10 reviews. If you give it a 5 star rating, you might even push it up a place above the world famous "London Taxi Tour".

To be honest I thought it would be less than that, just a tour no cafe/restaurant, not yet anyway! :)

THFC bases his figures of < 137 average on 50,000 divided by 365. Based on his figures, with 6 tours a day, that's 23 per group.

However he doesn't account for restricted or no availability for some bank holidays, match days and concert days. So I agree with you, the tour is actually operating quite well.

I went off this rag from the moment we won the title. Rather than accept the magnificence of City's achievement, it went into overdrive on speculation of who and how many of our players would be leaving. Almost everyone was named, apart from the dross such as Ade, Bridge, etc who we really did want to see go. I didn't see any such articles aimed at the Rags™. It's a few years since I bought a copy and I don't even bother with the online version either ever since they restricted comments to Facebook punters only.

i read this other day after the reds at work were wanking themselves senseless about it....i thought it was piss funny that they were buzzing about a tourism award!!!!!

but like someone else said would any other regional paper in sheffield , glasgow , birmingham , london etc mock there own team like this? be interesting to know from other blues around the country.

Is the Liverpool Echo as biased towards Everton? Birminghams local paper can't exactly wank them selves silly over Villa but i'm interested to know what they did after Birmingham won the league cup, baring in mind they have to write about 3 clubs. West Brom have been the best midlands club in the last couple of years, wonder if they get bad publicity.
