F1 2011 game thread

I preordered so as to have it tomorrow hopefully.

I've read it is excellent.

yeah, been reading the official forum and magazine reviews and it's meant to be very authentic and the AI is meant to be a lot more realistic this year as well.

I just hope I can make a pit stop with other cars this year, as last year if you didn't go in the pits 20 seconds ahead of the next car pitting you got held in the pits till the pit lane emptied :/.

Ordered mine yesterday, looking forward to this and FIFA. Best tell the girlfriend i am not going to see her for a month or so ;-)

I also hope they have sorted the pit issue out, it was the only major flaw in the last game, I really liked it.

well that and the penalty system, go off and get a penalty or have no other choice but to clip somebody and get a penalty or get rear ended and get a penalty, ridiculous.

Oh yeah forgot about that... i put a crack in my controller (the rage came) due to getting a penalty for being taken out from behind once when in the lead, i always take my penalties for going off in good grace (as i spend enough time cutting corners!!)

Day off tomorrow - hopefully it will be delivered and i can spend all day in my pants pretending to be Lewis Hamilton

safe to say there were a number of race restarts when I got penalised for fuck all lol.

oh and the AI not pitting too, I was leading by about 18 seconds in Korea, came in for my final stop and came out for some reason 15 seconds behind Rosberg who hadn't pitted, and I got to within 2 seconds but he finished 1st without pitting and won, really really irritating.

Got 2010 and was as pissed off as everyone with it so wary of getting it this time. Will probably wait for a week or two and read plenty of players reviews before shelling out.

i thought it was a pretty good game, and this year's is meant to be better and harder too.

Without doubt the worst game released for glitches I have ever had the misfortune to get. They of course patched it to some effect later on but the damage was already done when you shell out £40 notes for an F1 game to only pit and be held for 30-40 secs due to a programme fault. This fault was not the only glitch btw.

Huge F1 fan and im desperate for 2011 to be the real deal.

as if to make the point about the penalty system in F1 2010 I was doing Quali 1 at Bahrain in career mode, was on my 2nd flying lap coming down the straight before the final corner, got a tow off Kubica, moved right to go round him and as my front wing came almost level with his rear wing he cut across me, I moved right even further but then he moved right again and I ran into the back of him, lost my front wing and got a 5 place grid penalty when it was clearly his fault.

Same here for PS3, loved the 2010 version & this is meant to be a lot better.
