the closest f1 season was 2 years ago but Max was getting closer to Lewis all the time. Sadly last year once Max went in front no one got close to him. I honestly think the same will happen again.

Eight. How was F1 good a few years ago?
Mercedes went through *the* most dominant period in F1 history. Seven straight drivers and constructors championships.
Apart from a few half seasons when Ferrari got their act together it was largely a procession for the Silver Arrows.
Agreed that we desperately need closer competition at the front.
It feels that they are making the rules up as they go a long. It's embarassing that iwthin about an hour AM managed to find 7 recent examples of the rear jack touching a car under drive through penalty and it not being penalised.
But this bit -
"The alleged representation of an agreement between the FIA and the teams that touching the car in any way, including with a jack would constitutre working on the car [...] was incorrect and therefore the basis of the Steward's decision was wrong."
- is 10x worse, the FIA making fools out of themselves and the sport.
And that’s why I can’t understand Toto Wolf being the man moaning the RB dominance is not good for the show. Haven’t heard him saying this when Mercedes dominated for years. How was F1 good a few years ago?

I still follow the results, but I gave up watching it after the last lap safety car fiasco that handed Max his first title. It's embarassing that iwthin about an hour AM managed to find 7 recent examples of the rear jack touching a car under drive through penalty and it not being penalised.

Eight.
Rosberg won a world title too.
Back end of the 90's was when it was last really excited me. In 1999, you had Heinz Harold Frentzen who was winning races in a Jordan, and with 3 races to go, still had a realistic chance at winning the title. Plus the cars were a damn site more attractive in the 90'sYeah 2021 was a brilliant season with some great racing. Everything around it has been pretty bad unfortunately.
We're getting about one truly great season every decade at the moment.
2012 > 2021 > 2030?
