And Stroll as a Mussolini wannabe.
And Wolff as a calculating Kraut.

Alonso second quickest and Stroll sixth on the time sheets when he’s coming back from injury and first time driving the car properly this year. Don’t think Aston Martin will trouble Red Bull, however potentially we could have a situation in the turbo hybrid era where a Mercedes engine customer team has a quicker car than the actual works team. That could be slightly embarrassing for them.
 
Properly buzzing for the start of the season. Along with the cycling Spring Classics, the start of the F1 season is a marker that winter is over.

Everyone handing the title to Verstappen already is madness. Perez has fire in his belly as he can see the spectre of Ricciardo hanging over his head. Him and Max are going to come to blows and take points off each other.

Mercedes will sort their shit out sooner or later. Lewis made it abundantly clear he wants them to sack off this design and go to the (not real but clearly real) secret plan B design.

Alonso is going to be pure fireworks. Cat amongst the pigeons banter.

Don’t get me wrong, Verstappen and Red Bull are in the *buddum-tish* driver’s seat but there’s going to be plenty of *double buddum-tish* twists and turns yet.

Ferrari? LOL. Fuck knows. They need to lay off the Barolo before every race.

Toto himself laughed in the Netflix show and said “this isn’t a documentary, it’s like Top Gun”.

Guess everyone involved knows the Netflix show is really just about cash and advertising. How unusual in F1 ;)

I doubt there is a secret plan B Mercedes car.
Surely the financial cap would have stopped its development dead in its tracks.

Expecting a Verstappen pole. I suppose the excitement is seeing how many (if any) can squeeze in ahead of Perez.

So the answer was none. *Sighs*. The opening qualifying I think most of us feared but kind of expected. Glad I had a tenner on a Verstappen/Red Bull title double a couple of weeks ago now!
 
I thought Verstappen and Red Bull would piss it this year. They don't seem to have a clear rival and Verstappen is miles better than Perez so minimal points being taken away from each other.

Season over.

I'm watching the Indycar, IMSA and the WEC this year instead.

(P.s hoping this post proves to be totally wrong!)
 
Well we know whose going to win f1 this season! It just not close enough to the other cars times! Unless something changes it its done and boring

Only possible leveller is Red Bull will probably have to stop spending on the car earlier than they’d like because of the fine they had for breaching cost caps. Will probably be over by then though, Mercedes are going to be well behind if they are ditching the small intake concept.

Grosjean on pole. His second pole position in Indycar.
