He's fulfilling a life long dream of driving for Ferrari, gets paid a wedge and the company car isn't bad either. I'm sure he's fine.
Also it's all about next year when the regulations change. Maybe he'll strike lucky and Ferrari will be the best team and he'll get another proper look at a championship run.

Fair enough. I stand corrected. Do they count towards the Championship? Serious question (not WUMming); do hardcore F1 fans (which I freely admit, I'm not; I'm a casual watcher) give those sprint races any great credibility?

Does he have the car to win it again? From what I've read in the build up to the season, McLaren were supposed to be the team with the best car.

Over the course of a season the faster McLaren should come out on top.
Verstappen is the ace in the pack though, he can get impossible performance out of that car. I don’t like the guy and I certainly don’t like Red Bull but facts are facts and he is the best driver in the world at the moment.
If Norris’s head doesn’t fall off (that’s a big if - and I’m a big supporter of his) and McLaren don’t fuck around with the strategy and shoot themselves in the foot over trying to be “fair”, then they should come away with both titles.
Piastri - meh, maybe I’ll be proven wrong but I don’t see it. Not yet anyway. He’s quick over a lap but you need more than that to be a championship winning driver. Ask Charles LeClerc.
