F1 2025 Season

Reports in the pre season about Verstappen and RB's possible demise seem to have been exaggerated. He's still the man to beat.
He's dragging RB up by the bootstraps himself. To be fair they've reciprocated by building a car only he has the skill to drive to the limits of sporting integrity.

As someone said earlier he'd have won that race in a Williams. As a driver he's superior to everyone else. McClaren as a team are better. Their drivers are a level down from him.

The Constructors' table would back that up. Over twice as many points as RB, after only 7 races. Is it a case that the lead RB is an ordinary car being driven by a magician, and that Tsunoda's car is a lesser machine? Or that, simply, Tsunoda hasn't got the skill to get the maximum out of the car. 12th in the table isn't pretty.

Verstappen turning up to the Nurburgring under the alias of Franz Hermann a few weeks back, never done a lap of the place in real life and only done it in a simulator. Then goes and manages to break the GT3 lap record there, he is some driver. If he manages to take the title away from Norris and Piastri in an inferior car this could be his best world championship to date.

Can't argue against that.

I know a couple of us commented on the VSC/Safety Car being deployed for the two retirements at the same place in the race on Sunday but this Q&A article explains it towards the bottom in case anyone was still wondering/cared!

Watching todays highlights, Monaco needs to be taken off the calendar, it's a bad accident waiting to happen.

No way. Tomorrow is one of the highlights of the season. I can't think of any other session as special on the calendar as Monaco qualifying.

It’s the qualifying of the season because it’s basically the race. Monaco is not fit for purpose with these large cars, it’s an expensive waste of time.

It's the best qualifying of the season and one of the best sessions including races they do all year.

It's not just the large cars they have now unfortunately. The F1 cars can barely overtake each other at Monaco since they introduced wings on them in the late 60s. I still think the race itself is just about worth it, in case there's rain.

I'd want Monaco off the calendar just because it's monumentally dull. Now the cars are as wide as Luke Shaw's arse overtaking is impossible. The only reason some people say it's part of F1 is because it has been for so long. Doesn't mean it's good or an interesting race.

It's like the community shield; It's been part of the football calendar for decades but would you really miss it if they cancelled it.

Hadjar’s manoeuvre in F2 last year is a top example
Hamilton had a bang which ended final practice.

A few others have had shunts as well. Lots of complaints about traffic.

It should be fucked off, but as most of the drivers live there and the race becomes more of a exhibition that spoils the sponsored paid weekend piss up. It's staying whilst Silverstone/Spa/Hungary/Imola get rotated to allow more US/Middle East/Asia races are sacrificed for the pissup to continue.

My interest will be gone after qualifying. Unless the mandatory 2 stops makes a huge difference tomorrow.
