0.2 down from about a second in testing. That's a rapid closing of the gap from Hamilton - who's confessed he still doesn't know what all the buttons do and can't understand a word of what half the team are saying!

Couple of races under his helmet and that small gap will be nothing - I'm sticking with day one prediction that he'll finish above LeClerc this season.

Similar at Williams IMO - Albon seems like a really nice guy and he's crushed a few (shite) teammates over the last few years but now he's going against Sainz he's going to be toast.

Considering his wealth and upbringing, he’s very down to earth and just loves racing. He’s very matter of fact as to his situation and basically advertising his wares for the next few races. I think it helps massively that his Dad is his main confidant, has been there and done it and is very much a realist.

Jack, for me, definitely has a decent F1 career ahead of him even if it’s likely away from Alpine.

Totally agree. Looking at him you’d never know he had a leg up.

Seems like he’s got his head screwed on.

Hamilton may be a rolling development driver for Ferrari this year. Can't see him having the peak physical reaction times anymore to challenge for the top.

Antonelli will be ok I think. Toto is very serious and fair and Mercedes are a serious team. They clearly see something in him and will give him a fair shot.

Also (and some will disagree) IMO he isn’t going up against an elite teammate. Russell is likeable but he’s not a Hamilton or a Verstappen. He’s an Albon level driver IMO. Solid but not elite. A rung below the likes of Lando, LeClerc and Sainz.
 
Be interesting to see if Ferrari really were setup in qualy for the rain and thus may have more pace than we thought today.
 
Why they not showing the time gap between each car, bit annoying ?
 
Just put it on Looking tight with Norris Verstappen and what's happened to Hamilton you thought with the rain he be competing at the top
