F1 2025 Season

Oscar sounded totally defeated in his post race interview. A bit odd IMO.

I’ve been a McLaren fan for decades and as a Brit I’m desperate for Lando to win the title but Oscar’s implosion is insane. I think Mark Webber plays a role here. I’m not sure it’s great to be mentored by a guy who had a lot of talent but fell short and famously saw his arse when the chips were down against a better teammate in Vettel.

I’m just not having it that Webber’s experience isn’t playing a role here.

I thought Webber would have learned from his own experience of spurseying the chance of a world title and advised accordingly.

Really? Webber has always struck me as a bit of an arrogant bell whiff who was too far stuck up his own arse to hold his hands up and admit he was battered by a better driver - and shown no sign of not being bitter about it ever since.

i just don’t think he’s the best of role models for Oscar at all.

That's just reminded me of when Eddie Jordan called him a money grabbing wanker on his podcast when he had negotiated Piastri's McClaren deal.

For the record I like Oscar, he seems like a nice lad and he’s a very talented driver.

If however Norris wins this title and Oscar then feels less favoured - say in silly season in a year or so he ends up at Red Bull as Max’s teammate and there’s a big switcheroo around all the top teams, I’d love to see Sainz back at McLaren getting the band back together.

Rumours Piastri off to RB to replace Max in 27. Russell going to McClaren to continue his old mates rivalry with Lando. Allowing Max to consummate his affair with Toto with Suzie watching in the corner.

I don’t see Russell at McLaren. Him and Lando are too close in every sense, it’d be nuts.

Toto would be fuckin insane to bin him off to chase Max’s skirt. Give George the car and he wins you the title.

But who knows!

I don’t see Russell going anywhere, with the new regulations coming into play specially with the engine and PU rules a lot of the f1 paddock feel this could benefit Mercedes.

With these new regulations coming into play in 2026 DRS is being phased out and they are introducing active aerodynamics instead. Not a fan of drs, you get within a second of a car and it’s virtually guaranteed you will past.
