they say he should be well enough to race. Normally they have a back-up driver who they put in the car and you'd get their points. If he doesn't race and there's no back-up unfortunately you'll just get 0 for his weekend as there's not a lot I can do about it. The only other suggestion I have(would have to have a majority backing) is that you can pick a driver for this weekend that hasn't been picked by anyone else, but I'd only allow that if there's no back-up named before qualifying.
