Not the most exciting race.
Would have been a bit more interesting if that rain in the distance hit the track. It never produces a good race in Spain. The top three were light years ahead of the rest of the field.

Part of me was hoping for a deluge of rain, not the best race this season.

Not a massive fan but heard on the radio that one driver stalled - took his harness off - got his car restarted then did best part of a lap unrestrained to get back to the pits? Will that bring a sanction? Seems the height of madness in a sport thats done so much to up its game in safety? He was probably doing 100mph with cars doing 150 buzzing round him...its ok coz nothing happened but that could have been deadly surely ?

Dull race overall really, strong finishes for Tracing Point and a shock exit from Leclerc.
I'm not sure if teams were too Conservative with their tyres. A few teams could have adopted a 1 stop approach. Seemed to work for Perez and Vettel. Can't see Albon keeping his seat at this rate either.

Couldn't that be said of a large chunk of the races these days? Mercedes are just so far ahead of all the other teams. Yes; you'll get blips like last time out. But in all likelihood, Mercedes are going to win 75% (?) of the races this season. Which is great if you're a fan of them. Not if you want a proper scrap for the title, though.Not the most exciting race.

Certainly there's little tension at the front of the field but the Mercedes dominance seems to have compressed the rest of the field so there's actually not much to choose between a lot of the others. That has created some interesting battles in the middle of the pack. Granted in real sporting drama terms, the battle for 3rd place in the constructors championship is hardly momentous but its something!
