It’s very difficult to ascertain who the best driver is at this level because of how important the car is. Intra-team placing gives a much better indication of that than overall performance

Have a look at their track record of penalising drivers over the course of the past decade and it will give you an idea of who their man is

Today Hamilton hasn’t kept pace and was nowhere near Verstappen who also easily answered the fastest lap attempts by Hamilton. But that was obviously due to missing half his front wing. I understand.
