F1 thread - 2019 Season

That's why he's the big driver he is. Defensive driving approaching the best of Senna, arguably.

Just seen something that I just can't fathom on the BBC website: “Hamilton convinced he would lose lead as Verstappen beared down”. This is the fucking British Broadcasting Corporation we're talking about…

Wrong though it may look, it is a proper word. Take Kev's goal last saturday. "As De Bruyne beared down on the Watford goal, he calmly took the ball around Gomes and slotted it into an unguarded net".Journalism? Pfft. Piss easy.

Don't you mean: "He rounded the hapless custodian and propelled the leather into the onion bag" ?

Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX has been pretty vocal about the fact that if this money didn't come in, that, it would put the track in dire straits. They missed a paper deadline a few months back in regards to their plan for fighting human trafficking during events. When they missed the deadline, they tried to lobby the Texas Legislature to allow an extension but it's looking like that might not happen. I see F1 moving south to Mexico City soon.

As someone who isn't a huge F1 fan (though do enjoy watching casually), what is the international opinion of COTA in Austin?
